Hi All,
Just wanted to let you know on her blood test results. NOTHING!!! They found no issues with her liver, pancreas, or anything else.
I got the news today and just finished discussing with the vet about it. It might be that her digestive tract was sensitive to the antibiotic we had to give her for the kidney infection (no worries, my husband has the exact behavior; except diabetes, they have the same medical issues and pretty much happening in the same time; they also get indigestion if they eat too much...I guess I can take both of them to the same doctor LOL).
As I was saying, her IBD probably flared up because of the antibiotic and with an upset stomach everybody would feel miserable, Chanel included.
Meanwhile, we cleaned everything with alcohol and probably now I will have to vacuum and change the sheets every couple of days instead of every week. She seems to feel great due to the change in schedule.
Also, she demanded a change in shot time and now we wake up at 4 am which not only gives us more time to do things around the house, but also we play with her. After Mike leaves for work around 7 am, the poor Chanel is just exhausted and goes back to sleep. I, on the other hand, have to start working.
We are really happy she is back to her old mischievous ways and keeping us awake at night for playtime reasons and not sickness ones.
Thank you very much for everything, your advice and moral support is, as always, invaluable.
Chanel is handling diabetes well because of your advice and experience.
Going back to working stuff (I was very slow these days because I have had a gluten allergy that kept me in pain for the past 3 days, so now I am slowly going back to the old schedule).
