Recap:

AMPS: 454
+6 : 310
PMPS: 329
+4 :283
+5 :272 (wanted to see that yellow again!)
+8 :338

Given the yellow from last night it seems I am allowed to speak in hypotheticals without Mr L punishing us. So today, hypothetically, is looking like it could be a blue day to me :-D

He ate between last nights +8 and this mornings AMPS - does this perhaps indicate his pancreas is doing some of its own work or am I grasping at hypothetical straws!

Re: 01/10 Vyktor AMPS 301

Hi Serryn,

Nor really sure but much better #'s than the red he started with yesterday. Do I have Vyktor's long lost sister Ally over here?

Have a nice day.

Re: 01/10 Vyktor AMPS 301

Looks like brother and sister, to me.

Hope you get your wish and see some blues, today

Long lost relatives for sure.

Well I've learnt my lesson never again will I hypothetically or otherwise predict we are going to have a good day

Topped off the shocking numbers with a big food vomit. I don't ever recall him throwing up food

I'm wondering whether I should be trying to do anything about the bounces at this point either with food or with the caninsulin I still have in the fridge. Maybe I need to get those patience pants on but he's just not looking like he's going too well to me. Based on the colour coding it almost looks like he was doing better on the caninsulin

It looks to me, like he may need more juice, but I'd wait until 6 cycles have passed since that 196. Let's see what others have to say about it.
Sometimes, just the threat of a dosecrease will bring them down. Keep your computer on. They do read the screens, when you're not looking, ya know.

I don't know how he was doing with Caninsulin, but I would continue to give Lantus a try, for a while longer.
Please do not give any Caninsulin along with the Lantus.

I hope you have a better night.
((hugs)))

Oops, was having a maudlin moment, the shine is off my optimism temporarily. There's a few days of caninsulin at the top of his ss but I need to keep reminding myself that that was probably as good as it was ever going to get on caninsulin I don't think any cat would ever be better off on caninsulin would they?

Cats seem to do best on Lantus, Levemir & PZI - i think Caninsulin is primarily a dog insulin, isn't it?

you might just need those patience pants! it probably feels like you've been doing this a long time, but it really hasn't been so long.

If you haven't seen it before, here's an article that might be of interest to you about insulins in feline diabetes.
