Yesterday's condo - dental day

What a start to the day!!
On the plus side, he's eating. Not heaps and not well but he's eating. More mousse today as he's still struggling with any kind of texture other than completely smooth.
He's been to the loo and I've had purrs this morning. Yay!
Scratch that!! He just tried to go to the toilet and nothing came out.

He is getting better!! I know it. I hope he’s not constipated. There can’t be much in him since he’s been eating so little.

Oh my gosh... I feel terrible!
Life has just been so incredibly busy and exhausting...
The vet was able to "express" Gremlin as he was VERY full. After that he came home and went all by himself. Since then he has been mostly good. He is still (two months on) having some issues with his mouth after eating and I think it's due to discomfort from the lump he has got which unfortunately cannot be removed. At the moment it's not bothering him enough for me to consider saying goodbye but if it grows at all (it hasn't changed much in a year) then it may become more of an issue. All we can do it monitor him and make sure his life is still high quality.

Gremlin turned 19 on October 15th and I feel very blessed to still have him in my life after all this time! I pray that he makes it through to next year. It's suprestitious really... My first ginger cat, Bear, passed away in 2001. My second ginger cat, Buzz, passed away in 2011... I really don't want my third to go in 2021. I would never own another ginger! So prayers he makes it through (happily) to 2022.

I'm so sorry to all that I have been absent. It's been a pretty rough trot for me the last couple of months.

What’s wrong with ginger cats?

I am very happy to have an update on you and Gremlin. I have been thinking about you!

It is wonderful that you still have him. Have all of your cats lived long lives?

And does the vet think that the lump is cancer? I have a friend whose cat had a lumpy cancerous jaw and she used Palladia on him and it worked well for quite a while.
