I'm not sure what she got into, if anything. This morning, no p's were in place at all. I had to wake her up to get a test from her, and then she jumped off the table, and went back to lay down. This is NOT like her at all. I drew the insulin, gave her the shot where she layed, and not a meow or nothing. She did protest when I poked her ear, which is a typical Blackie trait, but not when I gave her the shot. As soon as the shot was given, she came into the kitchen for a couple of chicken bites that I normally give after her shot. She waited on the floor, laying there, watching me while I prepared their breffis. She did meow some, but not the usual constant annoying meow that I'm used to. She meowed when I put her food down in the laundry room. Did a bit of meowing while eating. After everyone had finished their meal, I checked on her, and her bowl wasn't nearly as clean as before as there were some specks left. She'd usually clean it right up to where there wouldn't be anything left at all. Nary a crumb.
Last night, I gave her a small amount (sorry, I don't have a scale to weigh items) of chicken liver with her 1/4 can FF. She usually gets 2-3 boiled chicken bites instead. Because her # was high at PMPS +5 (178), I thought the chicken liver would do something for her. Guess it didn't.
She's not hanging out at the water bowl, and when she drinks, it appears to be for about 30 seconds at best, give or take, and then she leaves. I've noticed the other day, but didn't actually watch for how long she drinks.
I did weigh her (as best as I could with the dial type of scale that we have), and she's 10 lbs. exactly.
I'm not sure if it's the insulin cartridge petering out, or what. I'm hoping that she'll recover. She's very lethargic right now, and it's got me a bit concerned, bordering on worrying.
I'll be watching her very closely today. I need to make chili, and she usually comes in for some raw meat treats. I love my little carnivore, and I hate seeing her like this.
