WCR: All is good with Blackie, other than the higher #s lately. I'm guessing it's due to the contraband on the 5th.
Off Topic: Another of our cats isn't doing well. This time it's my little-darling-who-could-do-no-wrong Daisy, one of Blackie's daughters. She's the tiniest of the 4 siblings, and she's the baby of the whole kitty family. She's so dainty, and loves being brushed. DH has called her Diva Daisy simply because she acts so vain in a very cute way. Just these past few days, I've noticed her whole demeanor change. She's hanging out in the bedroom more... I've seen her do the LB... She drinks, but her appetite doesn't appear to be all 100%. I've checked her blood 2 days ago and she's 63, so I know she's not heading towards FD (thank goodness). I've been checking her weight for the past couple of days. I think at one point she was about 8 lbs., give or take a few oz., but now she's only 6.20 lbs. Her weight yesterday was 6.26 lbs., but I think it was after she ate. Her remaining brother, Groucho, has been muscling his way onto her spot on the bed, and I'm trying to keep him out, even resorting to using a spray bottle. Thankfully, it works, and he's starting to learn that he's not allowed in there. Wherever she is, he has this need to take over. I've heard her insides gurgling, both with and without food. I've been giving her a bit of tuna in water... She likes Blackie's Evo, and I've been giving her a bit of that almost daily sprinkled with Forti Flora just to get her to eat SOMEthing. It's so heart breaking to see another of my babies go downhill like this. I'm not even sure if we can afford to do the blood work on her as it's going to cost us about $120, or probably more now. I don't know if I can handle another death so soon after Bubba in December. I definitely don't want Daisy to go. Not now. She doesn't play anymore... Even a paper ball rattled doesn't entice her to play. She simply lays there with a blank stare, or she'll lay there with her little nose pointed downwards. Right now, she's wrapped in a blanket on my side of the bed. I've got the window blinds open so that she can see out. I've tried to entice her to eat some dry food, but to no avail. I've saved the leftover wet food from earlier this morning for her, and I'll see if she'll the remainder of it in a bit. It's Friskies Chicken & Liver flavor. I know she'll be 13 on July 11th; the same with Tiny and Groucho, her siblings. Blackie will be about 13.5 this year as she was only about 6 months old when she had them.
I've attached 2 pictures of Daisy taken some time ago.
