J.D. ate "a ton" of food yesterday morning, and way way less last night. I finally gave him some MC FF Medleys at +3 and he ate some (maybe 1/3 can) of that.

This morning, my cats aren't eating either :roll: I hate it when they don't eat what's served. They make me feel like I'm failing them. It was even one of their normal favorites FF Chunky Chicken.

J.D. went outside right at AMPS and drank from his watering can. Now he's laying on the couch. I think I'll go btb or something. Maybe I'll wake up to hungry cats :-|

I sometimes get the wholesale food refusal too from our bunch. It's also often mysteriously disappeared
a few hours later ;-) Cats....

GRRRR on those goofy cats eating habits. I really think that sometimes they like ANYTHING, except what they're served. Enjoy your btb and ..Kitties... eat up those good fuds! hugs and scritches to you ...wonderful day coming at you! mary and oliver

Apparently I wasn't reading his mind correctly ohmygod_smile He kept acting hungry, and kept following me into the kitchen and both cats kept coming running whenever I opened a can. Finally, I opened the right one FF Chunky Turkey!
J.D. ate his 1/4 can and since Ginger still refused, J.D. ate Ginger's 1/4 can, happily :-D Yay! And, everytime I tried to take the bowl away from him when it looked like he was finished, he kept putting his head back in saying no there's more, and kept licking them all clean :smile:

J.D. just came up from the basement and started eating anything in sight including the refused food from this morning, so at least he knows to eat when he feels his BGs dropping.

Hi guys .. yay, glad you found the right fuds to feed him! And it's nice to see that J.D. knows he needs to eat when he's got numbers dropping .. he sure does look nice in his blues though! have a great day guys!

Just ask them THAT!!! Here they have a staff person just bending over backwards to please them.
If they had to go catch something themselves under the forest trees, I wonder how picky they would be!!
(can you tell this is a sensitive subject in THIS house too??? LOL) At least Raja is not a picky as Shadow is....
she will eat just about anything and I am thankful for THAT small favor in my life!!!

J.D. ate about 1/8 can of the previously refused FF Chunky Chicken at +5, and at +6 he didn't want any more, but I put the bowl in his face and he ate most of the about 1/8 can that was in there.

His dental coming up has been at the back of my mind for awhile. I just posted about it over on Tanya's site and the Feline Pancreatitis Support Group. No replies yet, as I am still waiting for the messages to be approved.

Crazy cats...they just love to make us beans crazy over fuds. I'm glad J.D. finally gave his stamp of approval this morning! Now, J.D., let's bring that number up a tad...ok?

:) nice numbers so far today! I'm surprised that his numbers are going down so far with all the food Mr. Piggy has decided to enjoy today!
I have to set up a dental for Spot too.....he only has a few teeth, but they need cleaned!

I gave him 3 Stella & Chewy's raw dog treats at +6.5 and 2 at +7.25. Otherwise, he's not seeming hungry, just laying next to me, so quietly laying under my feet that I couldn't fine him :lol: when I looked around for him for his +7.25 test.

Hope all goes well with the upcoming dental. Those things are nerve wracking even with a pet without complex issues.

J.D. followed me into the kitchen at +8 and finally his telepathy got through to me, and he got some shrimp :cool:

One of the hardest parts about this dental is being so far away and not having you all for support while I wait. No mobile computer. Maybe I can find a library or something. Oh, I can't think about this anymore right now.

I know. Sometimes I come home from work and all the left out food is eaten, and I wonder was he low or was he high?

He seems to want to eat when he feels himself coming down, but when he's down there, does he just sleep? Like he did most of the day while surfing the 40s today. I've woken him up in the middle of the night to test in the 30s :-| on occasion. I still find this stuff scary sometimes after all these years.

Hi JD and Dyana wow what a day! What a great surf! LOL on finding what food to feed. Seems like an ongoing process, thank goodness (anti-jinx) we don't have that problem over here! Scrabble is ravenous when he is low. Hope the good numbers continue into the pm. I am sure you could log on from a library or something so you can have all our support!

Wow, nice numbers for J.D. today. I can sympathize with the food thing - go through the same thing here! DH won't open another can to see if that will help Scratchie eat, me I'll keep trying different things until I hit on one, then try to get all the open cans eaten in a reasonable amount of time. :lol: :lol:

I usually gather up what is leftover after a reasonable amount of time, or the flavors my cats completely refuse to touch, and feed it to the feral cats or raccoons or whatever it is that eats it behind the dumpster at my work.

I do find it amazing how long the food can sit out and they'll still eat it though. J.D. was munching on some stuff this afternoon, that was put out last night. And he'll often eat what was put out in the morning, late into the evening.

Anyway, he was doing a lot of meowing/howling or whatever it's called going up and down the basement stairs after PMPS. I was down there doing laundry and opened a can of food for him that he normally doesn't get..a new one for him..FF Cod, something, and Shrimp, and he was eating it.

Now, he's back to cat napping on the couch. Probably because I kind of blocked off his space in the basement where he usually snoozes.
 
It sounds like J.D. kept you on your toes today. That was a nice surf while it lasted. I hate it when they refuse to eat. It's so hard to figure out why.
