Good morning!
Boomer called me at 5:30; he wanted his breakfast. He doesn't touch the food I leave down for him at night.
I weighed him this morning and he's 18 lbs....normal weight is around 16.8. The difference is the cancer and fluid

Dr Larry's recommendation is to go with the abdominocentesis. I've asked whether the fluid can be sent away for testing but haven't got a response yet.
He also sent me an article on Furosemide (used to be marketed under the name lasix, now salix); in the article it mentions that it's not recommended for diabetics because it's associated with an increase in blood sugar levels.
I'm continuing to give bupre. every 12 hours. He gets cerenia then mirtz (an hour later) every 48 hours or more often if needed. Vitamin B12 once a week. And I try to get clearlax into him each day.
He's eating ok....lots of small meals. He drinks which is something he hasn't done since right before his FD dx. I'm assuming one of the meds makes him thirsty. He cuddled with me for a short while last night and cuddled with DH this morning after I got up. And he spends a good portion of each evening sitting on the couch in-between us.
Thank you to everyone for your comments, vines, prayers, recommendations, and support!
