Good morning everyone,
Because of the lack of sleep lately, I failed to do a +2 like I wanted. Blaze and I both slept through, I heard the alarm and...I don't remember anything after that, good thing I am home today and didn't have to go to work. I did a +3, picked him up and put him in front of his bowl and he ate quite a bit then.
.
Tomorrow I am back to work remotely from home.

Generally my Mon-Fri work schedule will allow me to do any of these tests (+1, 2 or 3) each day. I won't be able to do any +4's except for 1 day. I will be able to do +5's every day because that falls with first recess. I won't be able to get +6's at all. Lunch falls at +7 if need be and I need a test. Weekends are obviously free and can test anytime. If anything happens and some periods end up being shortned for whatever reason, I might squeeze in those 4's and 5's.

I think your schedule will allow you to test plenty. You can always feed a little higher carbs if a +3 or +5 warrants it. The only thing I see standing in the way is if he won’t eat.

Yes, I will continue with the Cerenia each morning....it seems to be working. I brush them regularly too to reduce hair balls issues but he is ocd about cleaning himself...

Am not so sure brushing helps when they groom a lot. I have the same issue with Mocha. I brush her and she’s not a shedder either. She’s fluffy and an ocd groomer too. :banghead:

My two are sisters but quite different. Chai is a tomboy and Mocha a princess. They are so much like Tiffany and Max. Tiffany was like Chai, eating plants and a tomboy. Mocha is more laid back like Max and opens doors to allow Chai to get into mischief like eating my clothes and plants. :woot:

That's adorable!! United in mischief lol

Update: vet called. I told him Blaze is on 1.5U right now. I told him that the past cycles his numbers have been holding steady in safer and lower than usual zones. He agreed :woot: to keep him at 1.5U. He said that if the numbers start to creep up again, to go back to 2U. Then I asked the infamous question....I said to him "so you told me that the number 2.1 and all the other 3's I got are not worrisome unless he shows symptoms (falling over when walking, lethargy....). I asked: if Blaze shows those signs without me being aware of his reading prior to get to that point, wouldn't that be a "point of no return" and very risky place to be? Would I be able to bring him back to safety? He said "well, in that case, you give him some fast acting syrup and he should perk right back up :nailbiting:o_O". Soooo.....moral of the call is that he knows he is on 1.5U, that's all I care so we are on the same page. For the rest, I will continue my routines.

Also....funny how he says not to test but then he says "...if the numbers start to creep back up...". How am I supposed to know the numbers are creeping up if I don't test? :banghead:

He’s all over the place talking out of both sides of his mouth. I wonder how many cats have been lost due to his advice. :( He clearly doesn’t realize he gives conflicting advice. :arghh:
