I don’t know if this bounce will last. I think tonight’s +2 will tell. I don’t think she will go low today though. Only she knows.
For the first time in awhile I could smell glucose in her litter box. I can’t remember what causes the glucose dump. Also, notice Dolly is rippling her back more but only seems to happen during poke time. I did some searches but decided to be brave and ask you. Really don't want more worries about her. :nailbiting:

I could be wrong - and I'd like @tiffmaxee to take a look at Dolly's SS later when he has time and confirm - on 2U, Dolly was dipping at +3 - even though she was flat or only slightly lower at +2. Nowadays, if Dolly plans to go low in the cycle, there is an indicative dip at +2 itself.

Hi Adrienne, funny that you smell glucose in her litter. The only real way of knowing is to test her urine with ketodiastix but she's been below renal threshold for so many weeks that it would be strange if Dolly was excreting glucose through her urine.

I think I am just looking for worries. Is testing her blood with my ketone meter okay? I check every few days, don’t always post but it’s in my Dolly book.

With her good numbers it is strange to smell glucose in her urine. Test with a strip. That’s how I diagnosed Max with diabetes when he started to urinate more often. I didn’t smell anything though.

The ketone meter wouldn't show you glucose in her urine. I don't think you should worry about it (easily said, much more difficult to do, coming from this chronic worrier! :)). Are you feeding her something different? Maybe that's what you are smelling, sort of like when humans eat asparagus? :cat:

Thanks all. It’s a new brand of litter, lightweight, and I don’t know what I smelled other than looking for problems I had my husband check it and I just got the, stop worrying, look. He can’t smell anything. Just got back from my second store to get cat food Dolly will eat. All is fine.
Thanks Elise and Katherine for being there for us. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
