Basil probably did trend up a little over night but then again, PS values are generally the highest part of the cycle. The AMPS number is usually the BG level that's the last to come down due to the action of the body's normal waking levels of cortisol. See this link about the dawn phenomenon.

This is a little low and he suddenly was hungry. Thought it would be a good time for the rest of the food I would ordinarily have given him at breakfast. He's in there eating that now. Will retest at +8 because I think Basil's tend to want to have late nadirs. Hopefully, the food will keep him surfing up a little higher than 51.

So, just like last night's PMPS (which was 74) and we fed him and gave his shot.

When are the most valuable times to test this time? Tonight, I fed him 2/3 of his ordinary dinner amount and will feed the other 1/3 later.

Advice? He is getting more and more impatient with his tests!
