J.D. has eaten well today.
I actually stayed up until midnight last night, for once, and so had a long btb this morning and so didn't test until +6.5.
J.D. is still going around looking for food and it's almost +10 now, so he can't just be fed. I gave him some freeze dried shrimp at +9.25, and then he went around checking out the empty food bowls.
He has now climbed up his cat tree looking for more cat treats. It is +9.75, so he just got some more shrimp.
I guess he feels himself dropping and it's hard to go against his natural urges to eat, when it's so late in the cycle.
I have some chicken breast thawed out, so I will boil that, and give him some in a bit.
Last night after work, I went to WalMart as that was the only store open after 6:00pm. I had to buy half and half for my morning coffee as that is a necessity. I bought two medium sized doggy jackets and we went for a walk with the doggy jackets on, late in the evening. I wasn't sure if we would keep the jackets as doggy clothes often don't fit cats that great.
Ginger's fit her pretty good. And it's pink with leopard colored collar and accents. She gets very cold outside, even though she has long hair, it's all silky top coat and not much under coat. Her jacket goes right up to her tail but not over it.
J.D.'s navy blue jacket with fleece collar and fake pockets at the hips, left about 2 and 1/2 inches forward of his tail uncovered. He doesn't have much meat back there in his hind end, and so I will probably return his. But, they have sizes XXS, XS, S, M (and I didn't see any L). If I can find a size L for J.D. that just seems so weird as he is a cat, not a German Shepherd.
Anyway, it's been a nice sleep in morning, and a relaxing day today. Tonight we are supposed to start getting snow, and all through until Friday. On Friday they predict it will get to -1
I put a bunch of bird food out and the birds are coming to eat. I also put a bunch of peanuts out and I have not seen even one squirrel this morning. I wish they would hibernate during these really cold cold spells as I always feel so sorry for them being so cold. Maybe they hibernate for short periods and that is why they are not coming to get the peanuts.
I guess I should get the cats out for a walk before the sun sets. And then boil some chicken.
I am wishing all of my friends and family on FDMB a wonderful 2014.
