Good morning and Happy New Year!!!!!
AMBG 92

Even after cerenia then mirtz. last night Boomer wouldn't eat on his own. I had no liver shake prepared so I syringed some watered-down ff into him but I discovered that I just needed to syringe a little bit then he would eat some on his own. o_O So I did manage to get him to eat some food last night before bed. Then I woke up at 4:30, I hadn't heard him call me but he was standing in the doorway so I offered him some fresh food but again he wouldn't eat until I syringed a bit of food into him. Then he called me at 5:30; same thing. This morning he ate his breakfast on his own; he has visited the litter box a couple of times since 5:30 so maybe that made him feel better.

Today on the agenda....well I'm really feeling the need for some exercise, I've been eating way too much these last few days. So hopefully I can get out for a walk and some photo opps.

Today's photo is my backyard Blue Jay! Its name is Blue :rolleyes: and it's mate's name is Blue Too/Two.:rolleyes::rolleyes: And no I can't tell them apart I have no idea which is the male/female.

Good Morning Judy! Yes, I'm in the same boat - too much eating, not enough walking! I try to go every morning that I'm off work - if I don't get out there first thing - it won't happen at all...I just seem to let everything get in my way...

I hope Boomer's appy will get a little better - eat your fuds Boomer!

Beautiful Jay photo! Have a good day Judy!

Thanks Sue. Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I've heard that sometimes you just need to syringe a little food and that will get them eating. It's like they realize food is good. I hope Boomer eats for you today. Great picture.

Happy New Year Judy!!
Keep eating Boomer, it's good for you. :bighug:
I just put peanuts out for the Jays and squirrels and seed for the doves, they're hungry this morning!!
Way too much food and not enough exercise here too! :p

Happy New Year Carla! Yes I'm not sure why but it did seem to work for Boomer last night.

Maybe you have discovered the secret to getting Boomer to eat!

I’m with you, definitely too much food and not enough exercise! I’m going to make myself get on the treadmill. I hate it, much prefer outside, but it’s barely light when I leave in the morning and dark by the time I get the animals fed in the evening.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Jill!

Syringe feeding acted like an appy stimulant for Trix, too...very often, she would eat pretty well immediately after a syringe. I think they can get caught in a vicious cycle of not feeling well so they don't eat, but then they don't feel well because they haven't eaten, and syringing helps break that cycle. Hopefully he'll eat more now that he's "made more room"!

Happy New Year, Judy!

Making up a fresh batch of liver shake for my guys too . I really believe syringing a bit into Elmo several times a day helps his appy . Sending vines, prayers and hugs to you , Boomer and DH :bighug:
