Thank you. I feel a bit better knowing he doesn't need as much food as I thought (was worried I was giving in too much to his ways) although he does get these tiny little spazms every now and then with his arms, and it only happens when he hasn't eaten in hours and he gets frantic.Okay so you probably don’t want to over feed him (but you don’t want to underfeed him either as, when his BG is high, his body can’t utilize all the food he takes in to supply energy for his cells as the sugar is in his bloodstream and not entering the cells. Try to give just a tablespoon or two at the pre-planned snack times. If he’s really frantic though, you could give a little more. I know what it’s like to have a cat like that. It will get better.
So with the insulin, it's a gouge but he's our son and he's worth every penny. Have the ReliOn as backup though and I thank you again for your help with that! Suzanne has been an immense help - I'm so hopeful we found a good PZ dose to work with and will hold this dose for even more data - Yay!
