Good morning Bocephus had a wild night & I'm so grateful for the helpers that were up to be there for us till 2am. No hypo but I was stunned by the low numbers especially after skipping the AM injection.
Yesterday we talked about not skipping a dose unless under 90 and to hold his current dose but then with last night's activity it was mentioned he earned a reduction to .75 & this mornings AMPS 112 & 20 minutes later check 114.
Is he ready for the dose reduction permanently or is it just reduce it this morning instead of skipping again?
Sorry for so many questions everyday but goodness I've tried so hard to save this old guy and each turn more things have gone wrong and it's hard not to feel like they were partially caused by my "saving" him instead of sending him to the overcrowded shelters or turning a blind eye.. I don't think I could handle causing him to go Hypo especially if it was ended badly.

Yes, Bocephus has indeed had a great PM cycle a lovely AMPS number despite the skipped shot.

Since you are following SLGS, you take a reduction to 0.75 and hold the reduced dose for a week unless he earns a reduction by falling below 90 again.

Btw, the links to your previous posts don't work. I wanted to mention this for yesterday's post too, but I figured you were having an exciting night as it is, without having to worry about a housekeeping issue! :)

And you are doing a great job with him! He's fortunate to have a mommy worrying about him rather than being in one of those shelters!

Awesome thank you I was pretty sure that is what was meant by earned a reduction but needed the reassurance.
Oh wow .. let me figure out what I did wrong with the links. Thanks for telling me. I'll also edit my title to remove the ?
Thanks again

Those PJ parties aren't much fun when you're all by yourself! But look at you go! And the rest of the world is awake...LOL!

Enjoy your day, hope you can catch a nap Wendy!

Absolutely no fun at all and my husband is out of town so my first thought truly was.. oh no I'm by myself. What am I going to do about my other babies (all are non-human lol) if I need to get to ER vet. I read the "don't panic" in the material I printed earlier in the day, posted on here, and knew I wasn't alone and before I knew it the sun was out.
Nap for sure today and hope you have a great day as well.

EXCELLENT! We've told so many newbies to be sure to PRINT that info out - it can be a real lifesaver! Not just the furbaby, but mama too! There's nothing like a fullblown panic attack to make you forget everything you ever thought you knew...until you see that first low green! Eyes grow wide! OMG! What do I do now??? I know the feeling well...been there done that!

You handled it like a champ!! :joyful::joyful:

I see he was too low to shoot this morning. Great job last night. Max hosted many pj parties. Hard on the beans (humans in FDMB lingo) but healing hours. Enjoy your day.
