Ivy has continued to feel much better since her 4th weekly B12 (miracle shot) on Thursday. I am still dumbfounded by the incredibly fast turnaround once she gets this shot and her G.I. system improves within the day πŸ™

Frankly, I have no idea how she’s going to be able to go off of this weekly shot going forward.

She’s continued to eat well and her poops have been great since getting the shot (anti jinx).
I’m still giving her Cerenia, Mirataz and ondansetron right now.

It seems I am usually able to get rid of the ondansetron once I am comfortable that she is not nauseous anymore, (I don’t think she is) so maybe I will try that tomorrow (maybe I will cut it in half down to 2 mg instead of 4 mg 3x daily and see how she does).

Hoping for a very boring weekend with good GI situation for my girl.
Now I need to improve the BG again after the reduction when she wasn’t eating well for a day or so.

Wishing everyone a calm, relaxing and very boring weekend πŸ˜»πŸˆβ€β¬›πŸˆπŸŒŠπŸ€πŸƒπŸ€πŸƒ

Thank you Connie, we do appreciate those healing vines! They work magic πŸͺ„

Paws crossed for both of our sweet girls to feel much better and no more bad GI symptoms πŸƒπŸ€πŸƒπŸ€πŸƒπŸ€πŸƒπŸ€πŸƒπŸ€πŸƒπŸ€πŸƒπŸ€πŸƒπŸ€πŸƒπŸ€πŸ€

Glad she's coming down a bit from that AMPS, and glad she's feeling better from the shot. Do you notice other changes in her when she gets the shot besides the poop improvement? Like, does she seem to feel better overall??

Hi Mary, I go think she feels better overall after the shot.
(Especially if she’s had a crash in her GI system).
Her eating is much better too, but then I also took her Mirataz back up (since I had lowered it).
So hard to exactly pinpoint what did the trick.
But the B12 had been a game changer when she had a GI episode for sure.

I see she's matched her tube top to the bedding and wall art! Such a fashionable girl! πŸ’™ I'm so glad she's feeling better again.

It sounds like she's chronically low in B12--if that's a thing. Maybe the supplementation will get her to a point where the B-12 is regulated? I hope there is a way she can continue to receive it, if needed.

I wonder if the B12 will stay in the system or if, like you said, she’s chronically low now.
😭
I don’t know.

That’s funny, but you’re right.
Thanks Elaine πŸ₯°
How is Ember doing with her Libre these days? 🐾😻
I switched the last one out a couple days early since I could tell it was doing its quality control checks more frequently and it was spending a lot of time in "HI" instead of reading her higher numbers. This new one seems to be good so far *knock on wood*. I thought I'd never get used to applying them but just like everything else, we have a system now and she doesn't mind being shaved and even seems to like the alcohol wipes- maybe since it's so hot and they're cool? She'll probably hate that part in the winter. I'm glad we gave the Libres a chance and didn't give up with our multiple early failures. They're definitely not perfect by any means, but I'm much more confident in my ability to keep Ember safe since I have an idea of what her glucose is doing even if it's not exactly accurate.

I’m very glad you have figured out how to make it work as well as it can. It’s a definite learning curve.
And you are very good at learning new things Elaine. Brava! πŸ‘πŸ’–πŸ’žπŸˆβ€β¬›
