Happy Caturday Mary and sweet kitties
All 18+ lbs of him!I love these pics so much. He's got a similar build to Pookey. Big ol' fluffy belly and similar coat.
Oh, no. Jude was right on top of the wolf spider in the house. He kept focusing on the couch skirt, and I wondered why, so I flipped it up, and there was the massive wolf spider! I actually broke my toe in the process of trying to flush it out so I could kill it. Again, I don't like killing beneficial critters, but I couldn't run the risk of running into that monster again.Jude is so handsome! And what a life! He looks so comfy lounging on the couch.
And that spider carrying 100s of more spiders is going to haunt my nightmares. Yeesh!
Of course when you need a spider hunted, I’m guessing Mr. Jude is nowhere to be found. He’s too busy lounging and can’t be bothered for such small tasks![]()
Just is just so handsome. He had the absolute sweetest face. I just want to smoosh him with kissesJude wanted me to show his friends what he did today...
this + this + this + more of this...le sigh..what a life...

ALSO, I've just got to share this completely non-feline-diabetes related photo of one of the wolf spiders in my garage. If you'll zoom in, you'll see she is carrying 100s of babies on her abdomen. I can't mess with them when they have babies on their abdomen or it looks like godzilla has swooped down as they all run for safety--100s of them. They are a very large species of spider. I had one inside the house once that, I promise, was the size of my palm. I don't normally ever kill them because they eat black widows and brown recluses, but I was forced to kill the one inside the house--I couldn't risk that thing getting into my bed. Huge!

Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear about your toe! I hope it heals soon!!!Oh, no. Jude was right on top of the wolf spider in the house. I'm with you Mary. Spiders i can tolerate. Snakes i totally don't like and I don't even think we have any venomous snakes where we live but they're a hard NO for me.Thankfully, spiders don't bother me too much. Snakes? That's a whole other thing, and where I live we have six venomous snake species. Do. not. like.
Bugs and snakes are just a part of living in the deep south. Thankfully, I rarely have any bugs in the house (other than ants). If I have something like a fly, the cats go nuts, but that's usually the extent of house bugs. My garage, on the other hand, has some cracks that are open to the crawl space below the house, and we have a lot of bugs that crawl up, and I've had a couple of snakes come up as well. We've had a lot of wolf spiders this year; I'm not sure why. My least favorite bugs in the garage are flying cockroaches. Disgusting. They seemingly fly right at you, and they are massive, about three inches long--I HATE them!!! I've joined a couple of snake groups so that I can learn to identify them and to look at pictures to desensitize myself from my fear of them. I was so afraid, I was phobic. But now I can identify them pretty well, and though I'm not as afraid of them as I used to be, I still don't like them.Pics of Jude, super cute
Pics of spider, not so cute.
Do your kitties ever hunt the spiders?
Peanut is a master spider hunter. Luckily the spiders we have here are nothing in comparison to these. And although carrying her babies is so cute it also creeps me out. I would never want to see all those babies scurrying off into different directions![]()
Honestly I was wondering if you lived in Australia by the description of these critters! Now I don’t know what’s more terrifying - snakes, flying cockroaches, or the giant spider with a hidden 100 mini spidersBugs and snakes are just a part of living in the deep south. He would let you! And then he would lick and lick your hand until it was raw. Something about cuddling turns on his licking mechanism.Jude is such a cute puff ball!!! I just want to cuddle him.
I wouldn't mind that a bit!He would let you! And then he would lick and lick your hand until it was raw. Something about cuddling turns on his licking mechanism.
