I’m starting a new thing today, everyday I’m going to find at least one thing I’m grateful for with Khloe’s FD progress.

Today I’m grateful for: Khloe not having black pre-shot numbers like she did on Vetsulin. I can see progress and for that I’m happy.

Not a whole lot to report on, she bounced but she’s been getting a lot more blues. It’s amazing how little insulin it takes to show improvement.
We are on cycle 9 since the last increase but I’ll wait till this afternoon to change the title to dose review to get a few more tests in first.

As always, big love to all the sugar kitties 💜

You have such a great perspective, Sara - thank you for reminding me that we have so much to be grateful for.

Hope you and Khloe both have a great day today!
I’m just having a “whatever will be, will be” kind of day. I’m sure here at some point you’ll be repeating all this back to me as a reminder. Lol

Hope you and Moonie have a great day too! (P.S. tell Moonie there is a endless supply of churus at the beach 😉)

She's going to hit that break-through dose soon, and you'll be seeing greens. How frequently are you increasing?
Do you mean it?! 😀
And I increase when the mentors suggest it. So far we’ve been holding for 10 cycles when she sees blue.

But I’m unsure when to increase when I’ve already held for 10 cycles and still seeing blue nadirs. I would think she gets a 0.25 increase tomorrow morning but going to ask for a dose review in about 2 hours after her +6 today.

Well there’s my dose review! Lol yay, I was right for once! Haha
;) Yup, you were on the right track. Generally, with TR doses that are giving you blue nadirs are held for 6-10 cycles. Usually you want to consider how many blue nadirs there are, and how low the blues are. For kitties who only dabble a little under 200, or get consistently high blue nadirs, you can consider an increase as soon as after 6 cycles. Kitties who get low blues, it is a good idea to hold for 10 cycles. Mid-blues, I’d sometimes hold 8 cycles, sometimes a cycle or two more, just depended on what else I saw going on in Maverick’s patterns on that particular dose. It’s a bit of Know Thy Cat.

All that said, since Khloe was new to numbers under 200, only just starting to get under 200 pm cycle of June 16th, (plus new to Lantus too), she falls under that second bullet on increasing the dose, where you want to give it enough time (at least 8-10 consecutive cycles) to see where her nadirs are at before considering an increase.

Ok so for this next increase starting tomorrow, we will be using the usual method correct? She’s no longer considered “new to nadirs under 200”
So if I see:
High Blue - Consider increase in 6 cycles
Low/Mid Blue - Consider increase in 8-10 cycles
Dark Green - Hold for 10 cycles
Lime Green - Reduce 0.25 immediately

I can’t believe how much she’s improved in just 17-ish days with your guidance! I feel like we are in the fast lane to dark green nadirs now! Let’s goooo! 🤘🏻 I say it everyday but thank you so much!!

Looks like a good summary, although I’d say if a dose gives you low blues you’re probably wanting to hold that dose 10 cycles total, but also depends on how many nadirs over the course of the 10 cycles. Yes, from my standpoint, she’s had blues now at 2 separate increased doses, so next dose increase I don’t think she gets to claim newish to blues anymore :D. She will need to move now to new to GREENS! 💚💚.
