Alternative to Pill Pockets and FortiFlora

Is there a diabetic and food allergy friendly alternative to Pill Pockets? I was using NV Raw Bites to hide Leroy's pills in. NV has discontinued the rabbit and now only has chicken and pollock which contains beef. Leroy can't eat chicken or beef. I looked at the Raw Bites for dogs in lamb but that has beef in it too :arghh: I used a bacon flavored pill dough in the past but it's been discontinued and similar products are too crumbly or contain corn syrup. It looks like Stella and Chewy might still have frozen raw and only two poultry ones :banghead: Leroy's tummy is super sensitive so only novel protein works. Stella and Chewy hasn't come out with the new frozen raw dog food yet. There's a lamb one that would be ok for Leroy.

Civvie was eating NV Raw Bites and now is eating the same freeze dried raw as Leroy. Only she needs a sprinkle of FortiFlora before she will eat  She does like Visibiome but a teeny sprinkle of that will make her throw up liquid later :blackeye: Civvie does not like treats so crushed up treats won't work or Parmesan cheese. Is nutritional yeast good? She's also not a fan of catnip. Both cats are weirdos

I have two Raw Bites left 😭 The budesonide pill isn't crushable (literally looks and feels like a plastic pellet) so I definitely need something to hide it in. Maybe canned food will work in a pinch. Lickable treats have ingredients that don't agree with Leroy's tummy. There used to be a green pea and duck Pill Pocket which was diabetic friendly but that has long been discontinued😭

I don't need the probiotic part of FortiFlora, just the yummy flavor. I'll give nutritional yeast a try. Might be another Amazon donation to FDMB🤑

I’ve had some success with processed cheese slices in the past. Just take a small amount, put pill in between two little pieces, then microwave for a few seconds at a time until you can form the cheese slice pieces into a little ball. Probably about 5 seconds total. Might be worth a try. I suppose it depends on how big the pill is, small ones worked better, less likely to be “discovered” by the oh so clever cat.
