Hi hi,

Pip is still making weird pain noises and mostly sleeping all day. It sounds like his lungs are involved when he purrs and makes the little pain noises.
He is eating his wet food, I bought a fancy french canadian low carb food that he really likes because the nausea is making him fussy and I want to make sure he eats.

I posted my go fund me in the fundraiser section, next vet appointment is the 13th and I hope treating the ear infection and giving the subcutaneous fluids with potassium will get him back in shape. if not we gotta do a scan for his lungs and she wants to test for Conn’s syndrome if the potassium doesnt go back up.

ramping his insulin back up after the vet made me stop it because he didnt eat for a full 36 hours.

For now I am glad he is home and eating, drinking, peeing, pooping, and purring; the 5 basic cat functions lol

Sending everyone hugs and thank you for allowing me to post my fundraiser and being generally amazing people.
Have a great day and a safe surf! 🏄‍♀️ 💕

The basic 5 P's we monitor are peeing, pooing, playing, preening, purring. How's he doing on the grooming and playing front? Super glad to hear he's eating more. Not eating can make the potassium lower. And I'm also curious what special food you are feeding and whether I can get it here.

Has Pip had his blood pressure tested? It's another sign of Conn's. I can think of several reasons for low potassium. Out of curiosity, what was his potassium value on the latest labs?

I'm glad you increased the insulin, his body doesn't need the pinks right now.

Glad he’s eating well. Enjoy the yummy new food Pip!
I hope he will start to feel much better soon with the things you are doing to help him ❤️‍🩹

Have a very safe surf sweet Pip and Sarah 💕🏄‍♂️🌊😻

Hello Wendy :)

He is grooming but not playing much.

The food is boréal here is their website
Boreal - Boreal Cat Foods | Healthy Nutrition | Canadian Ingredients

They want to test his blood pressure when we arrive next visit, and his pancreas and kidneys were fine as per the blood tests.
I originally suspected pancreatitis.

I asked the vet to email me the labs hope I get it soon.

I will add them to my spreadsheet when i get them.

Big hugs!

Yes, we can get Boreal here too. Glad he likes it.

Regarding BP testing, ask if they have a separate room he can go into right away instead of the waiting room. He needs to relax before testing. Neko had a horribly first BP test (over 220) when we had to wait in the waiting room for a long time (vet emergency surgery) and dogs kept sniffing her cage. Later on at the dental vet, in a room by herself with Feliways, she tested in the 140's.
