So glad we're not seeing numbers as high--would like for them to be a bit lower (BUT NOT TOO LOW, Jude). Maybe once things start settling back down after the antibiotic and UTI we'll see some lower and more consistent numbers. I do think I was right about the antibiotic injection site causing the insulin to be less effective--something to remember in the future if he has to take ab shots again.

Monday night he had a huge drop from 332 to 159 at +3. I suspect that drop was enough to cause a bounce.

Did you ever get the urine cultured?

I left the vets that day and completely forgot to ask him for a c & s. I know the importance of doing this; I simply forgot. And he often doesn't remember I think because it's so expensive and most people just go with the broad-spectrum antibiotic.
