So.. been doing semi ok.. considering..

Need to get some Niacinimide to try…. Theres been so much stuff i forget about things to still do… Does Tanyas expand on this or can get some advice? Appreciate it a lot.. As well, how to go about fluid supplies?.. sigh. Think I tried reading that page but it got long.. was gonna get a script for fluids.. but iv line set.. idk.. @Suzanne & Darcy @tiffmaxee @Wendy&Neko 💘

Made the B complex capsules (1/10 of Jarrow B Right B Complex..) and he now gets one everyday? Plz lmk.. Will try to see. Bit bigger than expected.. but will definitely try to make work. @Suzanne & Darcy 🫶🏼 (scooping them up w my little mini shovel frm the ear kit was a trip.. 🤡😝.. least its 10 days of doses.. tried my best to get most of it up and in them..)

He needs tho an additinal B vitamin supplement I believe.. if could lmk again appreciate it a lot.. is that the Vitacost one?.. idk.

so we have appt w Opthamalogist.. able to be referred somewhere else, very close by!, and going there.. things is we have second opinion to try to get too.. Thinking to do the vet appt first then Opthamalogist next day as hoping they will give us or help us w an antibiotic.. maybe a longer course of Zeniquin if need be.. (sigh.. all that work.. over again.. that tool took him off after only 3 weeks.. cause numbers had yet to respond, and “worried” about his stomach.. whatever idk..) If second opinion unhelpful, get the impression the Opthamalogist might help otherwise in some way.. or maybe should go there first? idkkkkkk…

Been giving all the things.. got his B12 for second time yesterday.. He is also now on Ondansetron 3x/day.. Ive noticed significant improvement; my poor precious was probably nauseous and I didnt put two and two together.. :( maybe not too bad.. but i think you need to do all you can about the nausea before a stimulant is put on top??…. these vets. cuz none of them said nothing. but thats not too out there is it…… just ugh. 🥲

Adding things as I can.. only one or two leftover.. Going potty ok; no diarrhea since last. 🫶🏼 Went pretty well yesterday. (Was Possibly too much Miralax? Not sure. But still giving a bit as to help w constipation from any dehydration or his medicines..) I know the fluids have helped him a lot w that.

We here.. Its tough seeing him deal w this. Hoping we get help frm somewhere.. an antibiotic .. something.. to just see, try..

Also, are his numbers considered pretty flat today? Or.. idk. 🫠🫶❤️‍🩹 even if just a point or two lower, i pay attention..

I buy this, although another brand may be okay. There’s enough in one bottle to last more than a year.

Are you trying to put binder in those little tiny number five capsules?. They don’t hold a whole lot. I don’t know how you get very much binder in them. I guess if you do a lot of tiny capsules?

He is flat as a pancake. Remember meter variance can be 20% so a few points mean nothing. Please don’t feel bad about not realizing he was nauseous. When Max first got pancreatitis I gave him the same dose I had given his sister. She was 7-10 pounds and he was 13.5-16. Nobody told me the dose was too low! Originally the vets told me to give it every 12 hours. I only learned to give it every 6-8 hours when Chai got sick. We do what we can. That’s one reason why I am still checking in on the FDMB so I can help others to not go through what I did.

Here’s the link for felinecrf page on Niacinamide
Phosphorus Binders – Tanya's Comprehensive Guide to Feline Chronic Kidney Disease

start small 50 mg. Of course I don’t think you can fit 50 mg into a 5 gelcap. I just threw my old niacinamide out it was so old. B vitamins taste awful and he isn’t going to eat it mixed into his food.

https://www.chewy.com/vetivex-veterinary-dehp-free-lactated/dp/179217

Same lactated ringers solution my vet sells (and charges me nearly triple the price when I buy it from them).
tysm!!! 🫶🏼 will buy through them.. they charge a killing.. a big ripoff!!! 😑 i might be stuck tho getting some this time cause we’re totally out.. Chewy also has the one the old vet gave us.. can consider that one too? (we were given 1000 mL bag..)

also.. after the 9 line.. thats 100 mL right and to just try to estimate 4 parts (makes it easier?).. cause it looks a lot larger than the parts of the bag before it..

thtas the Jarrow i got!!! thats the one.. someone on kidney said tho im supposed to be giving him like 3 B vitamin things.. i got the injectable.. and the B complex.. think something w B9 was suggested.. tho thats 5-6 days, B complex is everyday, and injectable 1-2x/week?

i know they seem small.. (capsules) for us a bit big.. going to do best to fit in things.. 😬 got a little shovel..

gonna try the Niacinimide.. see how goes.. :/

SIGH. 🫩 so tired here.. do think hes feeling better tho on the Ondansetron.. its hard seeing him deal w this. he was feeling pretty good.. but been off and on since.. last day or so he been better. 🥺🫠❤️‍🩹

Does he need to see the primary just to get more meds? Will they dispense them to you since they have seen him recently?
Will a phone call suffice?

I hope he can see the ophthalmologist so you can find out what’s going on.

So glad the Ondansetron is helping Pudge feel better ❤️
I hope that MiraLAX helps him with the constipation quickly.
Sending you vines for a good day. You’re doing such a great job with him ❤️❤️❤️

The Jarrow B-Right already has B9 in it. Another name for B9 is Folate (or folic acid) and the B-Right has 680 mcg of Folate (B-9).

Chewy also has the one the old vet gave us.. can consider that one too? (we were given 1000 mL bag..)
I don’t know which one you got from the vet, but I buy the Vetivex brand because the plastic bag is DEHP free.

DEHP-free lactated Ringer's solution does not contain di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate, a plasticizer that can leach harmful chemicals,

What is wrong with his eye? I am sorry. I seem to have missed this in your threads. I did see where you wanted to take him to an ophthalmologist, but I did not know why. I was thinking maybe you needed to find out if he had a retinal tear from having high blood pressure, but I do not know if that is why you were taking him.

💘 whoopsie I got the wrong thing.. this was suggested:

- injectable B12 - once or twice a week
- oral Methylcobalamin B12 - the other 5 or 6 days
- a B complex with B9 - every day

what maybe think? think the Vitacost B12 was suggested to get..

we get the lactated ringers solution.... ugh.. this one..
Lactated ringers 1000 mL
I see!! and they overcharge ten thousand percent... YUCK!

Are the pupils the same size? If you take a flashlight and shine it in his eye does the pupil contract? Does the lens look cloudy? Or is there something else you notice? What did the regular bet say about his eye?

Kinda.. and they dont contract much. 😭 at vet rn.. to get opinion and hopefully some antibiotics…. lens looks a bit cloudy yes. One isnt reflecting as much as the other.

Got some blood in the eye.. 🫠 ugh. he had a clot.. and had some red blood cells frm before..but theres not much to do.

well previously hypertensive?.. he’d had bleeding and a retinal detachment before… 🥲💘 im gonna take him to eye doctor tmw. i think. 🫶🏼
Okay. That’s what I was asking about. I didn’t see where you ever said that before. I had a cat who had a partial retinal detachment before and he regained his sight. Actually he lost sight in both eyes, but after some time he could see again. So it can heal. Just make sure that there’s no ongoing high blood pressure because it is common to see high blood pressure with kidney disease.

aw! 💘 you were always telling me (which i appreciated so much..) not to loss hope w his sight so i thought you knew ~ yup.. he was having trouble seeing so ran him in when i could last year…. his retina had detached, then reattached, and he had some blood behind his lens i think.. could see shadows.. now idk. :( but she didnt think, w everything rn, an urgent thing (not rubbing, o discharge, etc..).. but im gonna have his eyes checked.. 🥺💘

I’m sorry you are having to deal with this in addition to everything else :bighug:

now i gotta go pay $45 for fluids….. 😝🥲🫶🏼 blood in his eye.. its better i think tho today. we see eye doctor anyway.. i just want them looked at. and maybeeee pressure test. idk.

it really is…… helped immensely. im wondering if he could use very 6 hrs.. 🙃 .. and well considering what we’ve been managing, backing off a bit on Miralax.. the fluids have been helping the most i think. ❤️‍🩹🫶🏼🫶🏼

tysm for saying.. 💘 just laying low here.. sigh.
