Well, I guess THIS is the actual bounce-breaking cycle?

Gen's shot time is in 8 minutes, and the Libre is currently reading 60. I don't believe that it's exactly accurate, but I've given him a little MC food and I am stalling, because I've barely even shot blue before, nevermind green, and it does not seem like a good idea right now. I would love some input!

The Libre has already self-corrected so that it now gives his lowest value this cycle as 68 (at +11.5). ETA: updated again, now it says he was at 63 at +11.75 and is still there now. Very hard to know for sure right now.

Shot time is basically right now, but I'm going to watch him for at least another 15 minutes to see where numbers go.

Really could use some help. @Wendy&Neko @Christie & Maverick

To clarify: for safety, and because I am currently not able to do home blood tests, I am taking the Libre numbers as fact (even as they revise, and are probably exaggeratedly low anyway). For safety.

(Now it says his lowest point was 60, at a little past +11.75, and it's now up to 73. Normal shot time was about 10 minutes ago. I'm unlikely to shoot before "PMPS" +.5, or 30 minutes late, depending on potential input!)

... okay, he's shooting up now. he's at 122 (probably) at 20 minutes past shot time. I'm going to go ahead and shoot his full dose.

That was fun!
Eek, sorry you had quite a time. But nice he does go to nice numbers.
You did well Allie and Gen 🥰🐈‍⬛😻

Have you ever had a spot blood test at the vet and compared it to the Libre just for comparison?

Might be interesting to see how your Libre compares.

Hope you both have a much calmer night ahead 💓❤️❤️‍🩹🌊🏄‍♂️

My vet uses an Alpha Trak, which makes this really tricky, since the Libre is calibrated for human blood. The last time I tried, I also was relying on retroactive Libre numbers (because it wasn't connected wirelessly while we were at the vet), and the whole thing seemed dubious. I'll have to try it again sometime. My vet's office is always so busy and I always have so many things to check on that I haven't made it such a priority.

How after that MC was that? Best to do LC late in the cycle unless really low. Otherwise you end up shooting numbers inflated by food.
About 45 minutes, give or take. This had occurred to me, and I may have overreacted - the Libre alarm was going off and claiming he was at 54 and dropping (though it revised itself repeatedly after). I didn't have any confidence in when he was likely to start going back up with a nadir at +11.75. I'm trying to get better at predictions but his data is so all over the place and every time I think I understand it, it goes very differently than I expected.

As it is, I am aware that Gen's feeding/shot schedule is currently not ideal. I typically feed him 30-40 minutes before his shot; sometimes even closer in the morning. I'm trying to make a rather tight schedule work. I struggle to get up much more than an hour before I have to leave the house on a typical work day (my sleep problems are longstanding and elude doctors), and while I'm always trying to improve on that, I'm also trying to be realistic when setting Gen's schedule. :/
