? 2/7 Arya Stark- AMPS 104 +4 79 +6 61 +7 67 PMPS 85 +3 52 +4 59 +5 54

Hello everyone… do I stick with the 0.75 until the numbers are below 50.. Arya has been testing close to 50 for a few days now… Can anyone give me some advice?

Cheers Lisa & Lady Arya Stark 🦋
I can't give dosing advice but Pip is pretty much in the same situation and I was told to keep the same dose :)

She is reacting so well to Lantus! Great job Lady Arya! 💕

Hi Lisa, Here is the detail from the dosing sticky:

"Reducing the dose:

The TR Protocol is an aggressive method in itself. The modified version of the protocol is slightly more aggressive. Let's keep all our kitties in the Lantus, Levemir, & Biosimilars ISG safe by taking reductions when appropriate.
  • If kitty drops below 40 (long term diabetic) or 50 (newly diagnosed diabetic) reduce the dose by 0.25 unit. If kitty has a history of not holding reductions well or if reductions are close together... sneak the dose down by shaving the dose rather than reducing by a full quarter unit.
  • Alternatively, attempt a reduction when the cat regularly has its lowest BGs in the normal range of a non-diabetic healthy cat (50 - 80 mg/dL) while staying under 100 mg/dl overall for at least one week."
She has not dropped below 50 (she's come close!) and she has not had a week in normal bg range while under 100. Based on this, I believe you will hold the dose. Let's tag someone with more dosing experience to give some guidance: @Bandit's Mom @tiffmaxee

Thanks Sarah … argh! It’s so nerve wracking watching those 2 numbers (which is how read it in Aus.. so 2.9 is 52)

So here we are again.. waiting to test again..

Are you able to test Pip continuously?
