..so nugget is pretty high this morning. we seen a 300.. wont know which one it might really be til later. (i know may not be necessary.. but for a while now i like to do two tests.. for more certainty..)

he eats well.. then doesnt want to.. eats.. then isnt interested. i have to go back and forth a few times.. i’m hoping as numbers hopefully go down.. he feels better. i used to always do him a shot in his little neck tent.. now its on the stomach, by his leg.. flank?.. maybe im doing it wrong.

idk what to do about fluids. all doctors say hes ok.. will try seeking an echo. but in the meantime, does he get none?…. very little?… idk.

he ate some more tho for me.. ill take it.

i gave Mirataz.. almost full dose. :/ spoke to his ER nurse .. she says he cant do insulin if not eating and to give it everyday…

Seems he needs the Mirtaz to keep him eating well. Maybe it’s finding the right dose to keep him steady.

For fluids, is there any reason not to give consistently (are you doing every other day, as it says in your signature?)

Do you have some plain meat baby food to try to entice him?
And I’m assuming you’ve read those links on how to stimulate his appetite?

phew.. hes eating pretty good rn. he sure does rn…..

well he has a murmur apparently. :/ its been suggested to get an echo when can..

trying to get him to eat his food cuz of his sensitiviities is ideal.. but thinking to go get some baby foods.

The nurse is incorrect, you can give at least half a dose of insulin if they aren't eating. Cats getting anesthesia who cannot eat still get half a dose. Insulin does more than combat carbs in food. It's how his body's cells get food.

Have you tried onsdansetron with him? I always give an anti nausea medication before giving Mirataz.

When situations have resolved (happy to hear he's eating) and you have no more questions, please remove the "?" prefix on the subject line.

right i always remember u saying this but thinking she means if not eating all the time at all? and full dose maybe what she meant.. idk.

yes!! hes on Cerenia atm. Do have Ondansetron on hand.. and got his Mirataz and eating better.. and now that numbers have gone down.. doing better.

It’s great to hear he’s feeling better! Just try to be patient while we wait a few more cycles to see how the 1.75 units is working. Did he eat well today for you?

he did!! the Mirataz helped a lot.. im sure being that high (for him) didnt feel at all good on top of things..

now almost time for dinner.. just got back frm a few errands.

No Ivy didn’t dive. She is really high lately, I can’t figure out why. So I’m slowly increasing her dose

oof I'm off to lay on the couch in a minute.. (nugget is liking being under the tree at the moment.. likes sitting on the tree skirt.. I put out a warmer fleece blanket on top and he's loving that.. it was cold here this morning! (for us.. I had to venture out get a new pen..))

They haven’t checked her BP in quite some time, I’m not happy about that.
She’s just too amped up at the vet most times so they won’t even do it.
They prioritize getting the blood when we go in

i think its cause hes not feeling great haha.. hiding out.. but thats a good way to look at it; it comforts him. he comes out tho. he got cold and went to the bed bit ago; put on his heating pad and i got to lay down too.

man im bracing for the cold we gonna get.. yikes!!!

seems ok.. if you go w it, when get a chance, measure it against the vets.. just needs to maybe be close. .. my readings seem ok.. idk tho. Haha.. but maybe something better than nothing..
