I forgot to pull my cats food up should I still give insulin PMPS 527

Hello,

Today I forgot to pull my cats food up before I left and then got back later then expected and I am supposed to give her shot right now. I just realized what I have done, should I still give insulin? Her preshot was really high. Or should I skip

Many of us have forgotten one thing or another at times, with ProZinc you have about a two hour window ,but then you will have to adjust the time you give the other next shots, you would have to go back every 1/2 hour or 15 minutes back on AMPS/PMPS until you are back to the usual time, it is important that at least they have some food in their stomach, if you got home and fed is ok, the protocol for
ProZinc is test, feed shoot I see at +5 /23BG, so you have the shot? what is the * behind the BG numbers? I went to remarks but is empty

Hello,

the * is for numbers that I did with the relion meters vs her libre. I need to install another libre to get overnight trends so I have only been doing relion meter right now.

If you feel more comfortable and getting better numbers with ReliOn you really want the new sensor on? And continue the sleepless nights? I’m just saying

Absolutely you can give the shot when they are high. The guidance for not feeding for a couple hours before preshot is to make sure that any low numbers are not influenced by food. If you record a few +1 readings on the spreadsheet, you'll get a better idea how much food does influence Bella's numbers.
