so.. we are doing more ok today.. things are a bit quieter… a little more settled. also started back on medicine, had to really if could manage it.. numbers creeping.. and going slow about it, all the things.. so doing 1/2 dose, as we try to fit everything new in place.. things just went so fast….. it was … but we have had such wonderful help support.. thank you all so much here. thank you thank you thank you. i dont know where we’d be.

now just fitting these extra things in too.. pretty constipated so got him started on Mirazlax, got an 1/8 tsp last night, another just now (will delay tonights too).. no Mirataz as of yet, been eating pretty ok .. drinking well too..

he is due for some fluids tho. and the Terumos came yesterday!!!! yay….. and i thought of a better setup, will see how goes. will try myself in next hour or two. if not, on to the ER and they do it.. however, i really think he was just too uncomfortable at 120 mL.. would this be ok to do instead? i was thinking to get clearance on maybe doing 50-75 at a time, every day or every other.. because him being comfortable and not getting averse is important too. some fluid is better than none right? and maybe.. we can work our way up, if he needs it.. i was just thinking about it myself.. carrying a water balloon under my arm.. thats where his settled the last time. called ER doctor.. seeing what they think, too. they prescribed it..

these kidney things might have also affected his eyes.. what was left.. primary said sometimes happen… GEEZ.

NOTE: the phosphorus binder also came from thriving pets.. the aluminum hydroxide.. got a small jar.. any thoughts appreciated. based off his weight.: looks like a tsps/day?…. ugh.

That’s the brand I used for Ivy. We gave 1/4 tsp 2 x daily. She’s around 14-15 lbs.
Check with vet to see what is advised on dosing

me too!! everyone saying it pretty easy.. (i remember! thanks for saying u uses this one..)

i feel that exact way.. 120 mL was a lot.. i dont known if ill do any today on a Subday.. know tmws a holiday but feel better still its a weekday..

aww sweet little ivy.. man.. ive been having to separate them in snacks to snack cuz im worried he’ll notice.. haha.. thats nice she’ll eat them together.. ty for the dose!!!! we might need less maybe cuz nugget lost weight…….

oof! Bebe is around 200 now.. how to go about dose if want to go back up?.. ok to just go back to the 1.5?.. or do a 1.25 for a little more?.. know its treated like failed reduction, and you just go back right?.. idk

ok! also.. nugget isnt feeling good atm.. hes off food again. he also hasnt had a good stool since i think Wednesday/Tuesday….. i started Miralax last night.. hes due for another dose now, but not interested in food.. tonite would be dose 4 (1/8 tsp each time..) when should i be seeing something?..

Constipation can affect appetite. Has he had no stool at all since Wednesday?

He did have some off and on; just not a lot each time. But he’s went a few times now i think of it.. they were a bit dry, but now a bit better.. they didnt look as dry today, but was just a few things there.. not a good size.

Suzanne and others suggested Miralax twice/day at 1/8 tsp and that was started last night.. he’s due for his 1/3 dose now.. but im not sure. he was doing well and now he wont eat again much.. he probably needs more Mirataz… but not sure if should give rn. I just realize tho that can worsen dehydration.. ugh.

Have you tried psyllium husk? Metamucil is the brand name in the US, I think.

ive heard thats the thing to also try.. just hes also dealing with dehydration… these things need water to work. im gonna scale back on the Miralax.. just start w 1/8 rn then go up.. but we need to get a handle on his fluids.. im trying do that

@Bandit's Mom Metamucil the brand has sugar (maltodextrin) in it, not the best option for diabetics. There are other plain psylllium husk powders available.

Consistent insulin dosing is best. Whatever you pick, stick with it for at least six cycles.

hii!! right so ok to go right back up, but is ok if want to stay a little lower w it right now also? (thinking maybe trying 1.25 just for next few days?.. then go frm there.. he does need his medicine..)
