Amps 234 Libre

Gave a smidge increase today, which made me very nervous. I also activated a new Libre this morning and sometimes if she happens to be in a low cycle when the new Libre is activated that can cause the sensor to stop working for several hours.
Luckily, that didn’t happen so the new sensor is up and running, and hopefully now we can just lower her overall curve 🍀

I did hear back from my primary vet last night and we discussed her high B12 levels.
They’re not sure what really to make of it and he feels we need to concentrate on her overall situation since there’s so many things going on with her.
He is suggesting trying Animal Biome gut restore pills to see if we can try to get her microbiome, more balanced.
My second vet who works with me on her supplements, agrees with that philosophy, so we were probably going to try that route, even though I was very hesitant to do that.

I’m afraid to rock her very fragile system with big changes.
So, I will be discussing the plan with vet number two early next week.
She is one complicated kitty 💕
Hope everyone has a very safe day and sending lots of good wishes to @kitten68 today 🫂🙏😻

Good luck with the increase and yay for a successful Libre installation! :D

I find it so frustrating when answers cannot be provided but I also understand that it can be difficult to pinpoint an exact reason. Sounds like you have a good plan going forward to address her tummy issues and like you, I would be hesitant to try something new for fear of rocking the boat. You are so on top of things and in tune to her that I'm sure you'll know if something is off.

Wishing you a wonderful and calm day, Staci and wishes that Ivy has a nice safe surf! 🤗💕

Thank you for your thoughts, Kat.
I get so worried about big risk changes (at least in my head).
I appreciate your support and insight.
I hope you and Trixie are sound well 💓💓

I love your photo. She is big! I mean, in length, not fat.
I hope you keep finding the right balance of food and supplements and meds for her, she is lucky to have you :bighug:
I think of you (and others here) often. It's been the one-year anniversary of Bella's death on Wednesday, I miss her, but I also think a lot about all of you who are taking care of sick cats, it was such a full-time commitment, no rest from the worry, constant questions... It is all so worth it, but so, so exhausting. Big hugs to all of you.

She is a big girl, Cecile. It’s hard for me to carry her in her big bulky carrier to the vet. She and the crate are heavy 😘

I’ve been thinking of you and Bella. I remembered it was this week last year 😢💔
(Same day as I lost my first cat 20 years ago too 😢)

You’re right, it is a hard journey we take. I appreciate you stopping in when you have time 💕🫂💓
