Still shows he’s dropping..gave him his usual 1/2 can FF pate at +3 but dropping more still. Should I do some FF grilled?

How about trying just another teaspoon or two of his usual LC and see where he is at +4. Numbers are still safe.
Libre showed 120-something at +4 and ReliOn was 175. Sometimes the libre indicates to me where he’ll be at in a little while, so I’m not sure if I need to put new monitor on or just leave it for now but I think I’ll leave it. I did do a small pate snack. Thanks! 🙏

Here is an example of the difference I’m seeing..I just don’t know if I need to put a new sensor on or if it’s indicating that he might drop lower later ☹️ before I took the picture the libre showed 83 and said “glucose going low”

I started a new sensor because this was stressing me out too much. I guess we’ll see if the new one is more accurate. The other one was only 8 days in, but that’s been about the point where they start going wonky lately, possibly because his winter coat comes in so fast.

Not uncommon to have the Libre read lower than a hand held meter, which is why it is suggested to double check any Libre lows with a hand held meter. Thankfully you have the ability to do that.

Can you change the level at which the low glucose alarm goes off?

New sensor just activated and seems more accurate so far. Reading 116 while the ReliOn says 123. Should I be concerned and stay up and monitor him since it’s about the same as an hour ago instead of a little higher?
Edit: if his sensor is any indication then he’s still dropping. It’s now reading 94. I will get another ReliOn reading in 15 minutes at +8 though

I was able to change the low glucose alarm to 60 but that’s the lowest it’ll let you set it to, but that’s helpful still

Hi Kaylee,
I use the Libre 3 also, and the comparison you are seeing is common to me.

Some people have shown their Libre is much closer to their handheld meter.
Mine shows similar to yours.

When they get into the lower numbers (under 100 on the Libre, especially 50 and below, Lo) is when I find Ivy will be actually in green numbers on a handheld meter.
You will have to learn how your Relion compares with the Libre from experience and testing.
It’s great you can blood test to check the lower numbers to keep Fluffy safe.

Remember that the alarm will alert you if he’s going lower while you are sleeping in case you go to bed and he’s higher.
While the alarms are annoying, they do help to get you up as long as you hear them (I always hear them, phone is next to my bed) 😬
