Hello,

An estranged family member abandoned their cat and I picked him up, nursed him back to health, and have been looking to find him a proper home since November 13th.
His name is Simba we estimate he is 10years old. He is a tan domestic short hair. My family is allergic to cats and we have a dog that is aggressive towards cats so rehoming him has become a priority. Simba has his own space in a guest bedroom. I have been feeding him 2.5 oz of Reveal twice daily along with 2 oz Oral care Hill Science. He gets 1 unit of ProZinc with each meal. Simba has previously lived with a dog and other cats. We live in the Richmond VA area but willing to travel to get him to a new home.

We have contacted most shelters in Virginia and all are at capacity. Am awaiting an appointment with Richmond SPCA in 2 weeks to potential intake interview but that is not a gaurantee.

If you may know of anyone willing to take on another cat please reach out.

-Robert

I've got 7 right now, and all with health problems. The ones I couldn't adopt out. Making it 8 is never a problem, as I've had 13 before. But my cancer girl is really struggling right now, which means so am I. I was so thankful Nico went into remission in time for me to tend more to her.
Do you know how long he's been diabetic? Is he neutered? Healthy weight? Up to date in shots?
These are questions a rescue or person will have. Rescues are usually a no-go, but it can't hurt to ask and if you can get back with the info, I'll ask all the local ones. I'm about 40mi north of Richmond.

Also, until a home can be found, this helps immensely! It's the only of its kind, it so I don't told me. Non-steroidal allergy/nasal spray that works like a miracle. I'm allergic to cats and dogs, and worked in an animal shelter, 9hrs a day when I discovered this. I took it at 8am and again at 5pm. Took away the itching, sneezing, and stuffiness.

Thank you. I knew you are in Virginia and are a crazy cat lady like me. I am really sorry about your girl with cancer. I know what it’s like to be constantly nursing sick cats. :bighug:
