It was a morning for both cats Civvie threw up some liquid then, later, breakfast. Leroy just threw up liquid. Both are napping now. Leroy might dip his toes in the surf soon.

Rats need a full cage clean out today. I can manage, just have to go slow and not overstretch.

I just got my first rat almost 3 months ago. Hes a wild roof rat I found in my yard, eyes not open yet. Hes 3 months now and doing great! Hes very attached to me and so sweet! I can relate to the cage cleaning tho. I tried the full cage clean and put him in a carrier, but it was the wrong kind for a rat apparently because he ate thru the mesh window. I managed to finish, but next time will be different. I'll just let him stay out and shut the bedroom door so the cats cant get in. Im scared to let him near them. Karamelle wouild like nothing better than to put him in her mouth.

Mesh and soft fabrics don't work with rats. A hard plastic cat carrier works. When I clean the cage, I just put all the rats in one half and close off the ramp so I can clean then move the rats to the clean half so I can finish cleaning.

I only went twice while cage cleaning so I guess that mean my arm is getting better.

I have a Zoom meeting with compliance tomorrow. I was reading the lab's updated response letter to the compliance issues and I have issues with some of the responses on how the lab plans to address things.
