12/20 - Pip, AMPS 221, +2 232, +4 250, +6 259, PMPS 229, +2 274, +4 247

Trying to keep up with those strips is always a struggle. And glad you were able to get it all done (caffeine included) before losing the power.
About 3yrs ago we lost our power for FIVE days in the coldest part of winter. :(
While all my friends were going to hotels, I had to remain due to having 13 cats. Many with serious medical problems. I had previously bought a safe, indoor kerosene heater that I kept turning on as needed. It gave me a headache so I couldn't leave it 24/7.
Hope it's ok to drop a pic on your thread, but this was my baby when I put it in her area for a little while. She disliked being with others, so I took it into rooms so she could thaw out a little.😅
Thank goodness after that terrible time, my mother in law gave us the $ to have a whole house generator installed. Never Again.😬
Hope it's a quick loss and doesn't last.

OMG stretching those paws towards the heat, what an ordeal that must have been!

Power is already back here so we're good :)
Yeah, she was so happy when I brought that in. The greater was meant for a 1,100sqft area, but our place is bigger than that and I guess she wasn't feeling it. And don't mind all the cardboard.🤣 This was back when we didn't have her ibd under control yet, so put laminated cardboard on the floor for easy clean up. And since she loved plucking carpet and then eating it, I had to build her forts and cat towers out of boxes.😅 Had to get real creative.
Glad you have heat again!

I hope it's a short-lived outage, but yes, very good that you didn't have to try to shoot in the dark! No thank you. I hope you and the Pipster have a cozy day together regardless!

Sorry that happened last night  What’s error 20 on the Contour, just faulty strips? I was always paranoid about situations like that and kept a healthy collection of backup everything in a carrying bag. Nice too if we ever had to leave in a hurry I could just grab the bag. Probably the crazy in me, but just helped with peace of mind lol.

Ya it just says the strips were either damaged or exposed to humidity... I'll see if I can get the box exchanged or refunded.

Its just weird that it doesnt say that until I put blood on it, like I insert the strip, it asks for blood, and only after the countdown does is give me error 20...

Pip is at 250 at +4, weird cycle of surfing up today I guess

Going to run errands and do some cleaning and gift wrapping... so happy to be on holidays :)

Just a FYI, for some cats, a flat yellow cycle heralds a cycle of action.

I always had at least two containers of unused test strips around. I cross border shopped for them, so it was a bit more of an ordeal to get new ones.

I've done the prep dose and shoot by candlelight before. Thank goodness for a good head lamp.

Ok I am ready I napped all day :)
Should I start testing at +2 or before?

Definitely going to double my stock of everything and buy a headlamp I like to be prepared :)
