This girl surprises with something everyday it seems.
She's come back to sleeping in the bed with me all night ❤️ she got up about +10 to eat and had a food spike while she was in the litter box endlessly scratching the sides accomplishing nothing 😂 she's always done that.
The when it's time to "test, feed, shoot" she didn't even get out of bed. Not even when she heard her food! So I had to go to her in the bedroom, test, then shoot and she'll be up soon to eat, it never takes her long.

Happy surfing kitties!

She decided to wait until she dropped to 67 to get up and eat, little stinker!!! Libre was reading in the 50s so I wanted to check her and meter said 67, lower than I expected that soon. I fed her some higher carb food, only because I want to be cautious because I have to go back to work today at her +4.
I'll make sure she eats her LC before I go and leave some for her snacks later.

Does she normally not eat at shot time? That would definitely cause the need to drop. I know everyone has their own system, but I test, feed, shot. Unless he's d feeling sick, and then as long as he eats within 2hrs.
Happy surfing

She normally does eat at shot time, but she's starting to change things up a bit on me

Ok why does she do this when I'm at work. She just laying down sleeping, got up about 2:20 to eat and she's been sleeping since....

Oh! Does she play with interactive toys? I've got one that if it shuts on its own (& not push it off myself), it will automatically turn on throughout the day. If she does like things like that, maybe place them here and there to get her up.
I think you mentioned she's not a big player, but thought I'd mention it. I have one much like this that several love. Just have to remember to shut them off before bed.😒
Or how about an automatic feeder? I have one you can set timers or drop some food with the app on my phone. Since yours never seems to go too low, but you're still concerned, I'd put freeze dried bits in it.
That would be next to nothing in carbs, but can ride on the food spike. Here, let me find the one I have to show you an idea.
This is the newer version of what I have. I had a camera set up in the room with her food. I could see when I was out, and would click the app to release some food for her.

I am going to get an auto feeder for wet food. I just have to wait til after Christmas with the work I've missed being sick myself, and taking care of her. I need to get more toys like that too.

I never got a wet feeder because I believe I read somewhere, it needs to stay 50° or below to keep wet food fresh. And none of the feeders I looked at could do it. But it was a couple years ago. That's why I stocked mine with the freeze dried.😅 Good luck with it and hopefully it will ease your mind more.😊

She made me worry up until about 6pm, 2 hours before I get off work. I've seen her in the 50s while I was home and tested to confirm, and it's usually a little higher. I have the camers now so I saw her get up but she mostly slept in one spot the whole time. She not getting up and getting that food circulating so I need to figure something out because I can't concentrate at work like this. Libre was supposed to give me some peace of mind 😕
She hasn't fallen below 40 yet, thankfully but if she keeps this up she might be getting a reduction 🤷‍♀️

I told Nico to use his cat telepathy to convince Monster to get with it and stop worrying you. We'll see if it works. 😅
But they do live to torment us. That's for sure

Why is she dropping so fast by her +2? She's still going down and I'm afraid she's going to get too low one of these times and I won't know.

Yes I have. Some days i give her some higher carb to help steer her up. It seems like she plummets as soon as insulin onset hits and she stays low for a few hours. It making me uneasy.
Of course she does. Makes you uneasy. That's what they do. Nico's driven me absolutely crazy this last week or so. I get that.

The Libre shows her starting to drop by +1 and she just goes down fast. She also climbs up fast at the end of her cycle.
I.nees to go to bed soon, I work tomorrow. Somehow, I think she knows that

It's +3 now. I fed her more LC and she got up to eat a little bit of it. I checked her with the contour and she's 76 now. I feel a little better about that. So we're going to bed and I have the low alarm on. Hopefully she will sleep with me all night so I know she's ok.
(I'm not the one that tagged you all, but I would appreciate any thought, advice, insight)

Any chance Monster ate late in the AM cycle? If so, that can cause duration loss and higher PMPS numbers. And often a follow on fast drop the following cycle.

Yes, she got up and ate right before I got home about +11. So the food wears off at the same time insulin kicks in? I have to figure out how to stop that. She's always free fed, before dx, and I think she's still doing that out of habit. But I'm not here to fed her or pick up the food....
