Finally starting to see a response after such a long time of just seeing “high”. Not sure how or when to adjust next. I’ve kept him at 7.5 for a while because of food adjustments, possible pancreatitis flare up, and slight constipation we had to deal with.

I’m also not sure if I’m just not used to the numbers dropping, but I get nervous they drop too fast? Also, sometimes after he eats a little around +4 I notice it’ll drop more.

Overall really nice to see him stay in some lower numbers most of the day now.

Sorry no one got back to you until now. This is a busy forum, when you have a question, it's a good idea to put the "?" prefix up on the subject line. Regarding the dose, I think you are good to go up to 8.0 units. Our goal is to get his nadirs down a bit yet, and get rid of some of those higher numbers too.

"Typical" Lantus nadir is around +6, but not all cats like to follow the rules. My Neko's Lantus nadir was around +7 to +9, except when it wasn't. You will normally see numbers drop until whenever their nadir is that cycle. As his numbers get better overall, it's easier to see when his typical onset and nadirs times are.

It'd be easier for us if you refer to feeding times as the + times instead of clock times. I have no idea where 8:30 AM is in relation to shot time. Just trying to figure out if food is influencing what you are seeing on the spreadsheet after +4. Also a question about food, does he get any meal after PM shot time? If possible, it's good to give him a later small meal after PMPS.

Here is the link to your latest post on the Feline Health forum if anyone wants to go back and read the history.

Sorry about that, still figuring some stuff out here! I updated in the spreadsheet and my signature as far as food times. He’ll be thrilled to get a little food at night so we can try that. Half a can like I do around +4.5 in the morning maybe?
