Looking like we have a very active cycle this morning 😳

Ivy had a very active am cycle yesterday and got carbs for several hours to keep her coasting 🌊
I needed to visit my dad but she didn’t want me to leave.

I did get out around 1 pm (+7) for the visit. But it didn’t look like it was happening.

She had a mini bounce last night so I could sleep 😴
Yay for sleep 🥰
I’ll take diving in the daytime any day! 🌊

Tomorrow is labs with the vet techs to check her T4 after a month having switched her Methimazole to pills. Very nervous about the lab results overall.
I hate how stressed she gets going to the vet.
I will give gabapentin tonight and again tomorrow before the visit (not that it seems to do anything)😞

I’m noticing the areas where I give her shot the skin has developed scar tissue and thickening. (Across her shoulder/scruff area/range).

I do try to move the needle placement around with each shot (am shot on left side, pm on right side) but it’s over 3 years of shots.

Any ideas on what to do? She won’t tolerate shots in her flank, I’ve tried that 😭

Morning Staci, I'm sending a ton of positive vibes that when her T4 results come back that the numbers have come down.
She does look so cozy in that pic but Ivy that pose isn't very lady like 😂 😂.
It does look like it's going to be an active cycle so far , I hope she settles down .

My goodness Ivy please slow down. I know you're there Staci to manage her and keep watch.

Good luck tomorrow. We're sending lots and lots of PAWsitive vibes your way. As for the scar tissue same thing is happening to Nestle that's why he had that bold spot and hence the onesie/shirt. You can also try the side of the belly but not sure if she'll like that. Nestle also doesn't like the flank or the belly that's why his shots were in the scruff/neck/back area. It's hard when you're at it for a while 🤗😢
