Kahlua has an ear infection-questions! Update and more questions!

I took herself in for her t4 check today. She's been going at her ears for quite awhile and the vet says it's most likely a food allergy. Today the tech checked them and found she has infections in both ears. We have Tresaderm.....I'm assuming her blood sugar is about the rise even higher.....how to I get ready for that? My poor girlie!

It's hard to know if a topical steroid will have much of an effect on blood glucose. Some cats have no response given it's a topical product versus systemic.

That's what I thought, but I read a lot stories about numbers rising. I just want to be ready!!!

She's been steadily rising and is now at 308.......time to up her dose?

Something isn't right. Kahlua's ears seem to be better. But now she has some minor sneezing/sniffing, she's sleeping a lot, her eyes are a bit teary and she isn't much interested in her food. I'm getting it down her, but it takes a lot of toppers. Her blood sugar is still up, too. I'm starting to freak out......ideas????

That's what I'm wondering.....maybe just starting. I noticed yesterday that she sniffed a few times. It's happened lot more today. She's seemed cold lately, too. Sleeping next to the heat vent and not on my bed.
