11/17 Jude | AMPS 344; PMPS 273

Thanks, everyone, for the well-wishes. Jude's doctor did bloodwork, which was clear, and a cysto, which showed no blood in urine but trace presence of struvite crystals and squamous epithelial cells (these cells in urine can be a sign of a UTI), so based on that, he is assuming Jude has a UTI, and is sending the specimen off for a culture and sensitivity. He prescribed Clavamox to, hopefully, start getting the infection under control, and will change the medication if necessary, based on the culture/sensitivity. We will see for sure if there is bacteria in the urine when we get the c/s results.
 
Don't forget to give a probiotic when giving Clavamox, give it a couple hours apart. I went through this recently at home and needed a probiotic and s. boulardii to handle the side effects. :arghh: A UTI would definitely be an explanation for these non Jude numbers. I hope the AB works. Looks like you can increase again tonight.

Glad to read that Jude's bloodwork was clear, that is a relief. Now, just need to get his bladder feeling better. Happy they are doing a culture and sensitivity to make sure you get the right meds to knock out whatever might be going in there. Did they mention any other tips for his FIC?

Glad Jude’s labs were clear and you can treat with antibiotics. I hope the probiotic helps keep his tummy ok!!
