Have a great Sunday everyone!

Xander's still hanging around the 150 mark at AMPS, but dipped a bit lower at nadir. I want to have an automatic feeder to add in a snack in the AM to try to bring those numbers down, but Xander isn't very food motivated and it would likely to be eaten by Flare. I'd love to wake up for a +9 snack in the morning, but feeding him is already so demanding I don't wanna add more..

He's back to more difficult eating as of yesterday but I think I need to try to relax a bit more and not worry when he has these days. His history has shown his appetite goes up and down in a cycle over and over, with him still gaining weight on those slower eating weeks. Maybe his maintenance calories is a bit lower than I think it should be?
 
Pookey has days like that too. Some days he’s tracking me down for food and cleaning plates and other days he’s on his own schedule. Which is kind of new for us. How many calories do you feed?

Xander has always been a slow eater, even back before diabetes when he was on kibble. We would have to remind him to finish his bowl throughout the day. I think wet food and the timing of his meals just complicates things.

He eats an average of about 220 calories a day, but it is quite variable:

Wow, that level of detail is great. Add that to my project list… maybe it’s cats being cats. I have worried less about it too but was just curious what you’ve been able to find out.
