11/11 Nico amps- 515, +3- 380+1.5- 315, +7- 535, pmps- 511

I'm hoping so. Thank you so much! It's almost like like he's got his own cheering squad here. Thanks!🥰

I still have to test him pmps & after though, right?
It's late in the day to make it special for myself, but I was able to get a nice bath!😊 And he's currently sitting out with me in the living room right now. Since being sick, he stays in my bedroom area 99% of the time.
Can you tell me what the 'renal' numbers are I just heard referred to the other day? And at what point do I worry about that? I'm pretty sure my baby wasn't diagnosed for a good at least 4 months. I had thought he was acting out of sorts because he had just lost the last of his 3 brothers. Is diabetes something that could've been brought on by that stress and loss?

Yes, test PMPS in order to make sure it's OK to shoot. I have seen kitties do a fast drop at the end of a cycle. And if you want to follow TR for now, you need that second test tonight.

Renal threshold is the number at which there is so much sugar in the blood that the cat pees out the excess. It ranges by cat and also type of meter. It is in the upper 100's to low 200's range. Above renal threshold, the kidneys have to work harder.

No. Stress can bring a temporary rise in numbers, but in a cat with a fully working pancreas, those numbers should come down. And you definitely wouldn't see numbers as high as Nico has seen.

OK. Will take another test in a couple of hours.
As for the peeing excess, is that where the ketones come in? I need to check him again tomorrow, but he's been good so far on that. Here's to going for better numbers tomorrow.
Thank you again for all your help. And for everyone's encouragement.
