He might be bouncing from the greens in the same cycle. Are you feeding after every test, if he is dropping?

He did put a number on me this time, almost wining his first reduction already.
He's been crying for food all night, so at +7 I woke up, tested him (116) and fed him some of his usual LC.
Later on, at +11 he's been crying like when he was 500+ for food so I thought he bounced again. First test was a 65 and second was a 56.
I did feed him, but now we're 40 minutes from AMPS, so let's see how that goes.

Oh, and today of all days I need to be away for about half an hour at his usual shot time. So I'll probably test when I return, and give his usual shot after stalling for 1h or so, if I'm comfortable with it.
That'll be 2 hours already from his meal, and I would rather do that than squeeze a test, shoot and leave within 5 minutes to or after shot time.

Sorry, I'm only just seeing this.

Did he get food after each test? Numbers can keep dropping sharply without food to counter the insulin. It's better to feed earlier in the cycle rather than later.

You need to be away for 30 mins after his usual shot time? Have you been able to get another test 20 mins after he ate? You might find that he has zoomed up already.

Yes, he got food both times. I do try to feed more in the first half of the cycle, but he's not very consistent with eating patterns.
I'm back now, which is 30 minutes past his shot time. I did not shoot yet, I did do a new test and he's at 71.
I'm still a bit reluctant to shoot already and I am still thinking of waiting for another 30 minutes, test again and decide. By that time it will be 2 hours after his last meal and 1 hour past his usual shot time.
