Auto feeder

I want to get an auto feeder and I'm torn between these two.

Oreo gets fed 6 times a day, 4 hours apart. I want to be able to feed him with his insulin in the morning and then schedule the next two feedings. Then I would feed him for his evening insulin and schedule the next two.

It seems I would be able to do an am and pm schedule with the PetLibro in the app. I also like that it stops cooling the food that is next up since Oreo isn't a fan of cold food. My concern is that it has to be plugged in and I've read the plug gets very hot. That really worries me.

My concerns with the CatMate are that Oreo won't eat the cold food and that I'll have to reprogram the whole thing twice a day every day.

Does anyone have either of these and can help with my concerns?

Make sure you get the stainless bowl version. Their tech support is email only which is a little inconvenient but they normally respond pretty quick. And it might be cheaper directly from their website. They offer discount codes sometimes.

Feeders that have a digital timer don't need to be programmed every single day. Set it up once and let it go. Some feeders may have options to skip a feeding or pause the program. I use the pause feature on weekends since I don't usually go anywhere and can just feed as needed.

Food from the fridge eventually warms up to room temperature in a feeder like Catmate.

If you go with the Petlibro meter, use the affiliate link here so that FDMB gets a small commission to keep this board running: Petlibro

I use the Catmate c500 and it feeds 4 timed meals.
I actually have 2 of them. One for am and one for pm meals so I don’t have to reprogram them every single day. That would drive me bonkers and I would definitely screw it up (too much to remember with all the things I have to do for my girl.)
I use the stainless insert bowls for her to eat from.

I agree with Tim, I have a camera on her to make sure that the feeder opens up properly and I have an alarm set for each of the feedings to remind me to check on her as she is supposed to be eating her snacks 📸

No real problems to report 🥰
