? 4/24, Vesper, AMPS 150, +5 51, Advice needed about this weekend

Hi all,

Vesper has fully transitioned to budesonide and seems to be doing okay so far, though her numbers might be a bit lower than before.

We have a tough situation coming up this weekend and I could use some advice. We need to travel out of state to visit my husband's elderly parents and will be gone for 3.5 days (a total of 8 cycles). Vesper is extremely aggressive with glucose checks (luging, hissing, spitting, biting), even with us, so it will not be possible for our catsitter to check her #s before shooting (she is barely able to administer the insulin).

Based on our spreadsheet, and the fact that Vesper might be a bit lonely/sad/stressed with out us, would you make any changes to dosage? On the one hand, the catsitter hasn't always been able to give her the shot and I don't want her #s getting too high, but on the other hand, I don't want her going too low, especially if she might eat less.

Let me know what you think?

When are you leaving?

50s is too low for a pet sitter dose without testing but with a history of ketones you want to give enough insulin safely. I'd suggest 1.75 but might even do 1.5 units since its on the line and may be easier for the pet sitter to administer.

Thanks for weighing in. We leave tomorrow night, so we have two cycles left before we go (tonight and tomorrow day). The catsitter takes over tomorrow night.
