4/24 Minky AMPS: 118; 148@+4; 250@+8; PMPS: 433

[Sheila and Minky]

Minky came down from 381 last night to 113 this morning. I have to give her dose 50 min early because I overslept on my nap last night. She probably got a bubble or two over .1 units last night. I really don't feel comfortable dosing this this morning but I know I should probably give her something. One drop too much will make her drop quickly and I cannot test for 4.25 hours. I am sorry I sound like a broken record but this sugar level of 113 and giving insulin is downright scary!

Not a broken record at all. How long ago since you tested? Did you feed her anything? Can you get another test?

I tested about 30 min. ago. She ate some low carb food but not great. I can do another test. I am just holding the other cat while she eats otherwise she won't eat at all. We are almost done.

4.5 hours. I will put out some dry lower carb food which hopefully will help

She's pretty stable. I'd shoot the 0.1 dose and leave out some food.
If you're really worried, I would give her some High Carb food right before you go then test when you get back home.

I'm not seeing her go lower than 96 on 0.1 units. That's a nice high end dark green, not an "I'm going to crap myself if she goes any lower" dark green. You got this! Minky is going to feel amazing today.

If you look at it as it took her 12 hours to come down, then it's not so fast .
Having to give the shot and leave for a couple of hours is very scary but leaving out food to help her coast until you can test will keep her safe.
