We are getting ready to visit the vet today for an exam and labs. Need to check her T4 level and all values.
I will be curious how things look about a month or so after pancreatitis.

I just sedated her with gabapentin only and I’m hoping that will do the trick.
Normally, even with gabapentin and trazodone, she still fights them like a maniac :banghead:
She’s always been like this at the vet, so this is nothing new, it’s just so difficult for her because she fights everything and gets so worked up.

This time, we did not fast her and we did not skip insulin, so hopefully everything will be smoother since we didn’t upset her routine.
Paws crossed for a smooth vet visit, haha. I know Ivy :arghh:

Hope everyone has a very calm and boring day with a safe surf :cat:

Good meowning Staci and Miss Ivy!
Thinking of you both today and sending lots and lots of PAWsitive Vines for a calm and successful vet visit. Please keep us posted of course.
Please behave sweet Ivy

We survived the vet visit. She wanted to come out of her crate once nobody was around.
Poor girl.
The urine specimen had some litter in it so we have to try again. Sigh.
Could be worse.
Now we just need her glucose to come back down. Another threat of an increase for tomorrow ;)

Thank you all for the warm and supportive wishes. They help so much :bighug::cat::bighug:

Ivy looks a bit stressed out in that pic, poor thing. But wow she has a beautiful set of whiskers!

Hi Karolina, thank you. We appreciate your sweet message and good thoughts. Ivy was as good as she could be I suppose. (They took her to another room).
Sending you and the boys lots of hugs :bighug::cat::bighug:

Well she wasn’t thrilled to be there. She spent the afternoon in her bed napping. I’m hoping she will feel ok for her dinner soon.
Hope you and Noogi are doing well. :bighug::bighug:

I hope Ivy keeps her feistiness for another day. Prayers that everything goes well and that you both come back home quickly and safely :bighug::bighug::bighug:
Thank you Shelly, so glad that’s over.
Now we will be sending you back more prayers for Fistuk tomorrow. And sending you lots of good wishes for you as well. I know you will be worried.
Praying it all goes smoothly and he feels much better :bighug::cat::bighug::cat:

Glad to hear it went pretty well. Meow waiting for the results. Hopefully the stress of it all doesn't have her shoot over the moon.
Wishing you both a relaxing afternoon and evening

Poor Ivy! :bighug: I'm glad that the big bad vet visit is behind her (until the next one :(). Looks like she's had a little stress bounce from her experience? I hope she settles down into some lower numbers tonight. Have a good rest of your day, Staci!

oh sweet Ivy. Poor girl with all the stress (and poor Staci). good vines for the labs

Aww, poor Ivy. Those vet visits are miserable. :( It's so hard when we can't tell them "It's okay, you're safe, it's almost over, we're trying to help you!"

Poor girl looks very unhappy coming out of her carrier. I hope she napped away all her spiciness for the night and is ready to show you a nice smooth slide back downward!

Sending all the good vines for the test results! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thanks, Karolina, I’m hoping she comes down a good bit today. I do think the stress may have bumped her up yesterday o_O

She wasn’t as zonked yesterday since we gave less sedatives, so that was good news!
Thanks for checking on us :bighug::bighug::bighug:
