Hello. It's been a couple of years since I've posted. I had a personal illness and didn't think I'd make it. My goal was to keep me and my Kaia alive. Shes been doing pretty good until recently. She howls all night, not sure if it's because she's losing her sight, or dementia or hunger. She's SO HUNGRY ALL DAY LONG!! She doesn't stop crying for food. I give her tiny bits of food through the day but it's never enough. She's been hitting HI on the Meter often the last month and I'm worried about DKA as she's had it before. She's my EVERYTHING!!!! What can I do? She can go as low as 54 then shoot sky high. I can't get it under control. Shes my soul cat and I'd appreciate ANY advice!!!

So sorry to hear it's been a tough couple years. :bighug:. It's hard enough looking after a diabetic cat when you are healthy.

When I tried to open your spreadsheet, it said it's been deleted? Could you see if you could get an active spreadsheet again? If a kitty is hitting 54 when you are following SLGS, as per your signature, you need to reduce the does by 0.25 units. Are you testing her for ketones at hone?

Has she had blood work recently? Night howling can also be a sign of hyperthyroidism.

It must have deleted because I hadn't used the spreadsheet for a couple years. Can you please remind me how to do it and where to find it?
She did have bloodwork a month ago and all was good. I'm taking her in tomorrow for some fluids and a ketone check.

Details here:
Good news on the blood work. You can test ketones at home, either with urinary ketones test strips (like Ketostix) or a blood ketone meter.

I have tried several times to download spreadsheet to Google Drive. It won't do it. I have an account, I've had a spreadsheet before. I don't know why it won't let me. Just says Page Not Found.

Looks like my memory is full. Going to have to delete some stuff

I get a message saying
"Sorry, the file that you've requested has been deleted.
Make sure that you have the correct URL and that the owner of the file hasn't deleted it."

Could you have deleted it by mistake? You could check in the Bin/Trash in your Google Drive:
