It does seem weirdly out of place next to the +7, but obviously I don't have enough experience to answer. Hopefully someone else will be in here soon.

If a number seems off, always best to retest. In this case with no back up test, best to reduce though. What if it was right? You don't want to stay on a dose taking him below 68 on that AT.

Thank you. I will go to 1.75 tonight. We don't seem to be getting an greens at night.
 
Hi Laurie,
On 2/24 and 2/28 you had similar patterns in the am cycle.
So I suspect it may have been an accurate test. You want to be safe with him!

But let’s see if you can get someone to check and give you a good opinion on dosing.

Thank you, it was only the other numbers that made me think it was odd... but it was his demeanor that prompted me to test, he seemed weak when he got up so I would rather be safe.

Any thoughts on no nighttime greens? Maybe I'm just not testing them?

That is odd. I've heard it said here that typically cats go lower at night, but Petey seems not to have gotten that memo.

I also think Staci made a good point about his 2/24 and 2/28 cycles. Petey does occasionally pull some limey shenanigans. And I'm sorry he does that because that can be scary. It will be interesting to see how he does on the next dose.

I hope someone weighs in with some answers about the lack of nighttime greens.

Maybe he's hunting at night?? I haven't found any signs but he rarely leaves any evidence.
 
It's almost like Petey and Binx are dosing twins :p last three reductions basically the same days, give or take one, and to the same dose. How funny!!

I hope they stop scaring us with these limes and unexpected numbers. Good luck with the reduction!
