2/17 | Jude: AMPS 179; +1 213; +8.5 162; PMPS 206;

I wonder if you want more than one more cycle since this dose brought him to the 60s (awesome). Curious what the experienced folks say.
Hi Tim, No one has actually advised how long to hold the dose--just to hold a bit longer. I think I will hold him again tonight to see how he does in that cycle and then decide in the a.m. I don't have him at work with me today (because he refuses to eat at work--I suppose from the stress), so I'll try to get home and get a test this afternoon to gauge how low he might have gone today. Happy surfing to you and Pookey!

Hi Mary, I hope you're having a good day! Sure seems like Jude has not been very predictable, I would not have expected those greens last night. Is Jude's appetite back to normal? :bighug:
Hi Laurie, Thanks for asking...yes, Jude went through some sort of change (Bhooma said it's like a switch flipped) last week where he just kept nose-diving on his doses. I was propping him up with food and honey just to keep him from dipping into really low numbers, so I decreased his dose. I don't think the dose we're on right now is the correct one for him, but once he stabilizes on this dose, I'm hoping we can gradually increase and get to a good dose. In terms of his appetite, I think it has improved some. It's still not what it was, and he won't eat when I bring him to work with me (probably stress-related), which is a real problem when I'm trying to keep him monitored (and when he keeps nose-diving). I'm taking him in next week for a dental, and they'll let me know if there is a deeper issue there that might be causing him not to want to eat.

I hope you and Petey have a good day, too, with happy numbers!

Jude is 206 tonight at his PMPS. Could someone please look at his SS and tell me if I should go ahead and give a dose increase of .25 or if I should continue holding him at his current dose. Thanks!

Since I didn't hear from anyone (and I posted 30 minutes ago), I shot him @ 1.75.
Hi Mary, I had posted on yesterday's condo that you would hold the 1.5u dose since he saw greens last night and Sienne confirmed that.

He is bouncing from the greens he saw last night and also from that 200 point dive into the 60s.

Since his appetite is not fully there yet (maybe due to dental issues?), you want to feed him a little less with the shot and try to get him to eat at least a tsp of food at +2 and +3. That will reduce the diving, which in turn contributes to bouncing.

@Bandit's Mom Now that I’ve done the wrong thing, what should I do going forward?
Sorry I wasn't clearer and missed reading your first post saying you will hold it for just one more cycle. You want to go down to 1.5U tomorrow morning and stay there. Let's give him some time to work the dose. He is bouncing quite a bit, so see if you can get him to eat at +2. I know that will be difficult to track when you are at work, but maybe if you feed him less with the shot, he might be more inclined to eat at +2?
