? 2/11 RICO AMPS 79, +3 53, +6 62, +9 69 - Do I reduce below 50 or 40?

As per the TR protocol, the reduction point for long term diabetics is 40. It depends on how much you can monitor. You had earlier said that you didn't want him to drop to the 30s.

Were you able to get any tests after that 53 at +3?
 
Did you intervene with the 53 with mc or push Rico to eat lc? I’d experiment during the day in case he starts to drop at night. So far there aren’t any lows at night. If he drops close to 40 decide how late you can realistically stay up and then intervene with mc or hc if you need to call it a night. Will Rico eat if you leave out food when you go to bed?

I didn't intervene at 53 - I only feed him LC until he gets below 50. Then, I will give him MC. I'm about to test him again in a while. If he's around 50, I will add some dry grain free food in his diabetic wet one. Would this help?

He's not coping well below 50 though. This is what worries me.
