I missed posting yesterday and this morning. Our routine has been a little off but everything is fine.
Kai's ultrasound from yesterday went well and his results showed nothing concerning. The vet said that Kai's kidneys were small but otherwise looked fine. They also did another chem lab and his Kidney levels had improved because of the fluids we gave him. If he had CKD then the fluids wouldn't have done much to improve his levels. So we think that he has a little infection of some kind somewhere on top of being dehydrated. So we are going to put him on an antibiotic and continue giving him fluids for the next two weeks and then we will test again.
The ultrasound also allowed us to see if there were any noticeable signs of any kind of cancer spreading, and there wasn't. That gives me so much hope that the lump on his side may be nothing serious and if it is then maybe we caught it in time. We are still waiting on the cell sample analysis results. I was hoping we would receive those today but I haven't gotten any news yet. The lump is my biggest concern now.
Overall, Kai acts fine and does not show any concerning symptoms of any kind. He was very happy to get home and finally eat something yesterday.
