He definitely needs that increase. You could have done it a few days ago as his nadirs aren't regularly in the 90-149 range. Good luck with the 3.75 units.

How is Watson feeling and acting these days? Cats are a lot more than their numbers.

I should have increased but I've been ill for a couple weeks and didn't want to risk a low during the night when I was medicated. Of course since I was increasing today last night he spent quite a bit of time in the 100's.

He's been doing good. More numbers in the 200's and 300's instead of 300's and 400's. Still working on the possible IBD/lymphoma issue but he's feeling and acting good and his appetite and water intake are normal.

He's doing feeling and good but still has the runny poop issue. Steriods don't seem to have made a difference and it's been nearly 2 months on them. I've tried feeding him some "other" protein (duck, rabbit & venison) but of course he won't eat those. Trying to decide if the surgical biopsy they want to perform is a good idea. It's $2k and can be done by our regular vet as opposed to the colonoscopy biopsy which is $5k+ and has to be done by the internal medicine specialist; the vet even mentioned trying chemo as an option. Between his testing, diabetes and one of my other cat's liver cancer they are making be broke.

Awww, I’m so sorry you haven’t been feeling well yourself and have all this going on with your kitties.
You’re doing such an amazing job taking care of them. I know it’s so hard:cat:
I’m sure you’ve spoken with Wendy about the IBD situation?? I know she has lots of experience and thoughts on different treatments and options.

Have you tried the Visbiome probiotic with him? It's designed specially for IBD and works well to help diarrhea. Another tool you can use is the s. boullardi, though that only works if his B12 levels are normal. Were those tested yet?

The surgical biopsy is a better way to diagnose, it can reach every part of the bowels, but the endoscopy cannot. There is a bit longer recovery from surgery, but cats seem to do well with it. I would NOT "try" chemo as an option. You only want to give chemo if it's really needed. The chemo drug is mild, but can cause nausea and there may be some long term effects from it. I had three cats in a row on the chemo drug, at one point Neko and her buddy at the same time on it. So happy my current one is in remission and I don't have to give it anymore.
