Hi all,

We mixed in the smallest amount of Weruva with one of his FF snacks, and he refused the whole thing. Of course I folded like a lawn chair and brought him a normal plate which he scarfed…

Also - I found a vet who does house calls! And they claim to have allergy and FD experience. I will ask “FD 101” questions to verify that, but that’s exciting. We’ll see them in 2 weeks.

Have a great day! - Tim

Hi Tim,

Pookey knows how to deal with his servants. How dare you mix something in? :cat:

Curious to read how you like the house call. We have that too but I was never so sure if things are easier if they come. Maybe Binie would be more self-confident in her territory and chase the vet away. But I heard red cats are more cooperative.

Have a great day too! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I know, right? He is not going to enjoy having the vet here… but he really doesn’t enjoy the cat carrier, car, foreign room experience. There is no perfect solution o_O

It's definitely worth a try and I heard many people saying that it works really well for them. I hope you and Pookey are one of them! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Ha, that made me laugh, I imagine, how dare you ruin perfectly good food :cat:
I switched to a home vet about 2 years ago and this was great. Of course Bella was not thrilled to have a vet a home and she let us know, but it was so much beter than going to an office. In between exams and tests, she could still go wherever she wanted, and usually she would not go very far (the vet had yummy Churu, that Bella did not know before, so she did not want to miss that).
And when Bella was very sick, it was great that she could come here and I did not have to drive her somewhere when she was already so tired.

Haha :cat: did Bella warm up to the vet at home after a couple visits? I’ll make sure I’ve got a new treat I can give. The end-of-life stuff at home is a really nice benefit too.

Yes, she did, she liked her. She licked her hands, too, which she did when she liked somebody, so that was a good sign. BElla was very vocal so she always told you if she did not like something, and blood draws and taking her temperature were very high on her "I don't like it" list!

Hi Tim. I did that plenty of times with Butch  He always gets his way!
That's great about the vet. Good luck, I hope it all works out in two weeks.
Have a nice evening and safe surf, Pookey! :bighug::cat:

Thanks Madeline! If he would have tried the new food, he would have been pleasantly surprised that it actually had more carbs haha (in case he reads this).

Which Weruva did you try?

I’m feeling this. I must have donated a year’s worth of cat food when we moved last summer … most of it from trying to manage minner’s mom’s megacolon and hypercalcemia, but some also from starting the 4mth transition to wet food for Minner. I’m amazed at the power of their sense of smell. Sometimes I wonder if there are additives in certain wet foods to addict them so it’s harder to switch to another food. Pretty sure coatings on dry foods do this. As a fellow humble servant to a kitty master, I wish you luck on the new food trials! It’s not easy but keep trying!

A years worth?! I wouldn’t put it past these companies. They want to sell food… Thanks Laura :bighug:
